Looking for shirt graphics?

Hi

I've tried looking in the DAZ store but I can't find graphics to add on a shirt for a G2M figure? Like a skull or lettering / font aside from graphics.

Thanks

    Which shirt is it?

Does the shirt come with a template?

That kind of work is usually not in the store, unless it is in an extra texture set for the item in question.  It's usually, fairly easy to add such graphics to existing textures or create new texture sets for the item, if it has templates (slightly less easy if it doesn't but still not too difficult).

You need your graphic you want to add, an image editing program, like GIMP or Photoshop, the template or texture and a bit of time.

I found a couple of texture sets on ShareCG, but they were for the Kids 4 t-shirt, and I don't know how well any other clothing article will (or will not) accept them.  Odds are they won't.

Your best bet is just to "roll your own", as mjc1016 suggested.  That's how I did this one:

  • I was able to edit a shirt I have ( tank top & undershits collection ) in photoshop. But when I change the image map in the diffuse it reverses the font I created? I even tried reversing it in photoshop, still reads the font backwards? lol

Sounds like a PhotoShop issue, to me.  But, since I don't use PhotoShop (I use GIMP, and occasionally, Paint Shop Pro), I cannot addess your problem.  Although it sounds like your image-editng software is reversing at least one of the UV axes.  Might I suggest that, if you can, reverse the U-axis (if I have the horizontal axis correctly); that might successfully re-map the texture, effectively 'flipping' the texture map.

Hey, it's worth a shot, right?

The UV map is probably flipped. So when you make the design, have the letters backwards and when you load it into the surface tab it will be reading correctly - that is if you are texturing it flat and not 3D painting it.
