Is it just me?

A Witch's Gingerbread House promo pics look cute, but I don't see how the artistic rendering at the end even remotely relates to the product. Am I missing something?

It is using the trees (although these look like a background image) and ground of the product, but not the houses. If you look at the description, it states that the backgound environment can be used without the houses.

Oh. OK. It just seems like a poor promo for the package, as a selling point. Cool image, though.

True, but I guess the PA wanted to show the set was usable in classic fantasy (ie swords and dragons) rather than just fairy tale stuff, as I suspect far more people are into that type of fantasy renders than the fairy tale ones. Having said that, 30 dollars is a bit steep for a ground prop and a background image, if that is all you wanted it for.

Lol ... True. If diversity is what he/she wanted to show, maybe a few more ways to use the product would have been better.

Ahhh ... So the runs are what's left after he toasted and munched. NOW it makes sense. :D

I just assumed the witch pissed off the dragon and that's all that's left lol. I like that they show a different use for the parts since I have a real tendency to kit bash almost all of the time.  So I look for product which can be taken apart and put back together differently.

I kit bash so much I dissect anything I buy into their own categories ... I have divided my props folder into categories, then those categories into even more specific categories and the same for the figures folders.

And the other end of the aguement is that if the model had come as one inseperable chunk there would be other people crying foul. I think that the more adaptable a product is the better. And showing this in product images is quite legitimate.

the end of the production description "FLASH! The Witches Gingerbread House has been buried in snow and is all ready for the Holidays! Included Free"   What exactly is "Included Free"?

Pretty sure its the stuff to the right of the slash.  the snow and the presents

I have always been amused by anything that claims to be free when it is bundled into a product you have to pay for.

  • I asked the same question (in pretty much the same words) over on the Upcoming Products forum.  It was indeed there to show the backgrounds could be used for other scenes according to the vendor.

It's not so amusing if it's become a bundle because they've added stuff you don't want. I'd rather have the option for excluding the "free" items and then get the primary item for a lower price. In many cases these "free" items are actually sold separately by the company for a fairly high price so I can't imagine that they don't affect the price of the bundle.
