:o A secret third person appears. So FWF is Fred Winkler Art + Fisty?

I've been around for over 10 years now.. been a Daz PA for over 9 years and have over 100 products in the store, Just noticed me now?  I usually do clothing, jewelry, and shaders.  And yes, FWF is Fred Winkler Art + Fisty.  Darc is my husband, he started helping with products a couple of years ago, mostly help with ideas and development, sometimes with UV mapping and preliminary figure setup, he leaves the tricky stuff to me.  LOL

Fisty came from Fistandantalia which was my Everquest 1 character's name.. a dwarf rogue.  I met Darc playing WoW, we both played black haired blood elf rogues, we met when he applied to join the guild I was in, it was like looking in a mirror in every way but gender.. kinda scary but completely awesome.  But yeah, my real name is Emma.  (and you have a scary good memory Jan19)

Samira is very dark rendered in low-mid lights, if you look at the popups for the Egyptian outfit you can see her applied to Josie in my standard 3 spot light setup.  The lights in the bundle do a good job of making her look beautiful, but she is a bit tricky to light.

No no, noticed you plenty before (and that there was some sort of group that tended to work together a ton) but never spoken to you before. As a new person I always got the impression that PAs were mysterious never get in their way hooded types so when one replies to something I said it's like "aha! A mysterious meeting!"

Thanks for the history lesson - I always find them fascinating. I played WoW for many years too xD

lol. I know the feeling so well my self.  As much as I keep trying to remind myself that PAs are people as well, real people with down to earth lives and such.  I still get that bit of feeling like a 'Mere Mortal' compared to them.  After all, they make all this really cool stuff, and I struggle to use it without messing something up, lol.

    (EDIT)

Fisty, that is an incredible render.  It still would not have altered my 'Buy the bundle Now' decision earlier today.

Haha, and then there are the newbs like me looking in awe at the myterious ZarconDeeGrissom, thinking he must be more than human whith all that analytical understanding of things, talking about stuff I still don't get the first of.

Oh wow, I remember you from EQ1 - mainly because it was too damn long to type - I was (and am occasionally) a wizard (nicoust). May even have been guilded with you at one time, but can't be certain.

They're lovely! The darker one can easily pass for an Indian too, especially with that straight hair and some twiddling with eyes and nose. :)

It's rare I have issues with FWSA.

They look great (really great), I agree.

Saving my pennies, so just getting the hair, but I will get one of the characters eventually, and possibly two.

I tend not to get many characters from DAZ due to the lack of nude promos and usually the ones I do have from FW are nice, but I did find that Frida had the nipples misaligned and after sending a PM never heard back, so I am even more cautious about DAZ characters, but I have to admit, these 2 do look really nice (I love darker skin).

Fisty, great render and it is pushing me much closer to getting these, thanks!

I returned a character recently as the nipples were perfectly round (and smooth/even at the edges); it wasn't the only issue, otherwise I'd have fixed it myself. It wasn't a FWSA character. So yeh there can be isses; I buy more from Daz as its easier to return items. I never managed it when I had an issue with a Renderosity item, so am even more cautious there. But have had some nice items from them.

Well, I have been accused of having had my pointy ears and slanted eyebrows altered to better fit in with human society, lol.

I admit, I do tend to be Mysterious in a way. I enjoy spending time tinkering with ideas rather then being outwardly social.  This morning for example, I'm sketching out an idea for an Egyptian-like bracelet geometry, and installing all of this cool Egyptian MEGA Bundle.  I have no idea whatsoever when I'll have a cool render of the stuff in the bundle, I don't even have an idea of a concept for it yet.  I just want to check it out, and eventually something will materialize into a cool render, lol.

Holy crap, I remember your name.  LOL  I don't think you were in Forged Souls though.. But I was in a guild with Ohmar the cleric and his son Grummond for a while, was probably that one but I can't remember what ti was called.

Ah no, not guilded; just grouped.

    I love Smacky =)

Thank you! I'm always really glad to hear that.  :)   I'm still using good old Elite Marie V4 for her, but the texture incompatibility has kept me from attempting to recreate her with Genesis 3. Not sure how well her *very* old clothing will fit G3, but at least the issue of finding a replacement texture might be solved.   ;)

There is so much to 3D, this day and age it is impossible for individuals to know everything about everything, lol.  What matters is having fun.

As for me trying to use stuff without breaking it, lol.  I have become so accustomed to using the Ctrl-click to apply AltShaders, I inadvertently did it here.

I don't even need to wait however long for a spot render to know that will not do at all, lol.

This one is just better all around to just double-click the thing after setting up all the makeup options.

    Very very very nice.

I have no idea RiftWitch, it should be 30% off for the standard intro period but I don't know about any other special offers surrounding it.

Thanks, I just can never remember how long the intro discounts last. I think my short-term memory is like Swiss cheese.

  • Bundle is nice but - after the holiday sale - to expensive to make me get it. 66 US$ (after 30%) is rather high. Did pay less for most of the pro bundles if I remember right. And the 30% extra on January characters is a little to "cloudy" for me as I already own the whole G3 gang. Anyhow, have to cut back on DAZ spendings anyhow. Hope that is easier then quitting smoking. I might save lots of money for March Madness though.

OK - I skip the bundle, but I had to get Taia ;-)

  • I'm actually enjoying what I've found so far from the bundle.

It's kind of like an egg hunt going threw the CL finding stuff.

And, no, I'm not sure what the dance is called. I only have an idea of where this is going. lol.

I did recruit a few figures from various PAs to fill in the lineup. And I did adjust the skin settings of all of them to get them all consistent under the same set of lights.

  • FistyFisty Posts: 3,416

I think the dance is called "Sharp Dressed (Wo)man"

    LOL

  • That or, Do the “Pharaoh Fly”. Lol.

Give me just enough of that glittery gold, to brooch the seams on my royal linens...  It feels so right when a Pyramid is built, when they reach the end they build another again..  Doing it millenniums before other empires, Do the Pharaoh Fly.

    ROFL.

Not that you asked, but i think you've got something else going in w/ your render. I never get anything that grainy from a finished render. I rarely change the default Iray settings (samples, time, quality, convergence). I suspect your lighting needs help. I will say the default HDRI by itself is usually not enough light.

That graininess is actually grains of sand. :)
