That is a variable issue hacsart and those are much harder to track down. It use to happen to me if I was logged out and clicked an email link to a post. But even that stopped a couple of months ago.  I use fire fox but I know there are others who use it as well and still have trouble staying logged in or logging in.

I'm starting to find it amusing actually... Like when one is falling off something tall and you know you are gonna hit the ground anyway, so you just go "Weeeeeeeee!" on the way down... What was funny this time was I didn't actually do anything to trigger the event, unless scrolling down on a tablet counts, or it was a delayed event initiated a moment before when I opened the Commons page, but I was reading thread titles and got down to "Hi ho, hi ho,..." And was signed out... When I got back I read the rest of the title... Is that ironic?  I suppose ironic is when something wryly amusing happens in a manner opposite to ones expectations... Being that I never know what to expect, I don't know if that qualifies. But I was wryly amused.

I had it for the first time about fifteen minutes ago. I thought, "Oh no...." It left me signed in though.

DAZ have had a log in issue like this for almost as long as I've been coming here, it's only since this new system that most are becoming aware of it.

It's from using two separate software, the account/store software and the forum software, you log into the account software and it force logs you into the forum software, the account software has always had problems keeping me logged in (even on the older sites), yet I was almost always still logged into the forum software.

If/when the new account software loses your account log in it will still show a blue icon if it still sees you logged into the forums, going to the forums like that is when the "sign in sign out" loop starts, as the software is confusing the crap out of itself.

With this software system it's always best to set your bookmark to the store, check you are actually logged in, and then go to the forums.

Been worse here the past 3 days.  I have to go to the main page, sign out, sign in with "remember me" and then it works for about 24 hours.

    angry

  • I have had this several times a week for the past year...  I contacted tech support and they offereda  rediculas reason for the problem.  The tech told me that it was because someone else was using my account at that moment and did i want to start a new account.       Yeah right???????  The problem is that I use Mozilla Foxfire and Daz doesn't seem qualifed to work with it.   If I use Internet Explorer there is never a problem which tells me that the problem is Daz......

  • I always use Internet Explorer and I have problems usually a couple times a day.  However, if I connect again after only a short period of time (say less than two hours) it usually works for me.  Yet sometimes I can shutdown the computer for a day or two and comeback reconnect and everything still works.  Go figure!

I always use Chrome to look around the net. Most of the time, this site will keep me signed in for three days. This time, it was two. Even when I'm signed out (when the site signs me out automatically), the little "man" icon in the top right of the screen is blue.

Not to mention that I've also been having loads of problems with DNS errors (which, hopefully, I've now fixed). angry

That makes a lot more sense than my suggestions... It's not gonna stop me from coming up with more, but your answer (which I totally appreciate) is far more grounded in believability... I still think you could of added a kangaroo or platypus or mentioned something supernatural in there somewhere, but that's the kinda answer I like... Right before I make stuff up based loosely on rumors and myths.

Actually, I just realized this is not the thread I thought it was... But it's basically the same one, just the lighting is different, or something like that... I'm glad I didn't start listing more of my conspiracy theories... I had a great one involving the Illuminati and Abraham Lincoln's ghost... Maybe next time.

This actualy fixed it for me. Turns out my browser had signed me out of the store. Once I signed in again and then went to the forums, everything was fine.

    Thanks StratDragon!

Happens everytime I come to forums on chrome. I stopped coming straight to furum, I bookmarked the store instead, log in there, then come here. Kind of a pain, but less of a pain that trying to spam the stop loading button when stuck in a signing you out death loop lol

  • Yes chrome here too couple times a day

once a month if that on iPad

I've gotten signed out a few times lately.  It usually is while I'm doing something, not at the point I first visit... Usually after clicking on a thread or two.... The looping seems to have stopped.
