Is the Morph3D site actually open yet?

I'm just wondering if the new site is supposed to be working.  I've attempted to sign in after I think I registered properly, but the login page just keeps refreshing without an error message.  Same result in latest versions of FF and Chrome.

I second the question. Is it related to DAZ? New product line? Something completely different?

It is something that marries up Daz 3D and Unity, for game dev

If you haven't confirmed your account through an email they send you, then you need to do that before you can log in.

I tried to register several times but I can't login. I can't confirm the registration because I never got a confirmation email. (And, yes, I checked my spam folder as well)

  • Yeah, their registration is messed up. They take a while to send an email. For me, the page did refresh as others mentioned, but I did eventually receive a confirmation email. If you don't get one, I dunno. The site is messed up. About their products, it seems to be so that you can use it in Unity right away.

For those having difficulty registering, there is an alternative: register for an account at Unity3D and all the Morph3D products are available through the Unity Store. Since you need Unity to access the content (distributed as unity asset file packages), you'll need a Unity account anyway. I'm not certain about the access to the current BOGO1/2OFF offer, though.

Update: I just set up an account at Morph3D to try it out and received a confirmation email within minutes, confirmed my email and was taken directly to the site, logged in. So I;m not sure why some seem to be having difficulties.

  • I really hope they don't get burnt ! everyone who has tried to get into this market has failed there just isn't enough customers to keep things turning over. Best of luck to them!

    Greetings,

I got some stuff there when they did a big push to open a bit ago; it's _really_ nice stuff.  I just...don't have the free time to do all the things I want to do. :(

I recommend grabbing the free stuff, and trying it out.  It's very programmable, and cool.  I don't know what's up with their registration these days; I did it a while ago, and it worked fine, IIRC.

And the thing about Morph3D is that they have DAZ3D as an income source that makes them able to take risks like that, so they have a better chance of sticking around long enough to find a market...

Well I still haven't gotten a confirmation email and also NO reply to my inquiry via the Morph3D contact form

  • scathascatha Posts: 756

Neither have I, Charlie... apparently Morph3D has no service team.

I was able to register, and then log in, within about fifteen minutes.  (Now I need to upgrade my copy of Unity!)

I grabbed the freebies, so I can spend the weekend playing around, to see if there's any actual value there....

We should have a ticket system on the Moprh 3D website up and running soon.

    Thanks for your patience.

I was wondering that . I see they are using daz products as well like this 3d Universe Ranger model https://www.morph3d.com/mcs-female-ranger.

Does this mean they using a game Dev licenses from daz for this content and we will need gaming licenses as well if we use these products that are using daz mesh? or do the users fall user their paid game licensees?

Morph3D is Daz, in effect, so the licensing is taken care of - you don't need Daz store products or licenses to use the Morph3D content in its intended application.

Why not just some dazstudio export plugin to unity? The content is just the same as genesis and shop here...

It's my understanding that it's not the same content, but comes from the same place and is optimized to work for games andf game engines specifically and keeping it as separate as possible is a good thing IMO.

I got the free version of the female model from Morph 3d but how do I actually use her? I want to try the free version before I shell out real money on her and him.

Might try here since it is developed for use in a game engine and not DS

Can mcs-female/male be used in Daz Studio also?

  • TSasha SmithTSasha Smith Posts: 27,267

so will it work in the free version of unity?

  • vintorixvintorix Posts: 220

Ok, I realize now that MCS Female is just a simplified version of G2F. So all the V6 cloth will fit!

MCS Female/Male open just fine in the free version of unity

Thanks to those who confirmed that I missed the confirmation.  :)  In my e-mail to M3D support, I included a note that a forum is a must.  I have lots of questions and they could have been answered already, had there been active discussions on this.  I made a suggestion that Morph3D could have a branch under the Software category here, since they are a spin-off of DAZ.  It would help with converting DAZ customers who may not check their e-mail every day, to know this thing exists...whatever it is.

I've not downloaded it yet, (since I can't sign in) and there is no concise info on the site saying what format the Morph Character Sysytem is in, to let me know if it will really be useful to me or if it can be used in any software beyond the four titles listed on the About page.  I use Lightwave and I'm not totally sure what I might do with Unity yet, (when I learn it,) so saying MCS works in 3DSM and Maya does nothing for me.

While I'm on the topic of the wonderful DAZ forum...is there a universal switch hidden someplace to set default forum notifications/bookmark to "On" when posting or creating a topic?  I'm tired of having to remember to click stars and didn't think to check on this thread until two weeks after starting it.

Adding this to my request list, then.

Still at the top of that list after more than three years and I'm not gonna shut up until I see them: SALE PRICE END DATES.  angry

Hrm.  Went looking at settings as I considered being a pest and putting the above in my signature, heheh...and found this under Edit Profile.  I previously had the e-mail box turned off.  (I have gotten the pop-ups at the bottom of the screen.)  I'm not sure if it auto-selects the star, but hopefully it does what I need and tells me when people reply.  I'll have to join in on a new discussion to find out!

Edit:  Joined one...star is not selected.  I'll be watching for that e-mail and update this again.
