Gun GR15 for Genesis 3 Females questions

Does anyone have the Gun GR15 for Genesis 3 Females and can double check something for me?

There are Iray mats for the gun - but I noticed that when I apply the Iray mats, some of the surfaces are NOT iray settings, they are actually the normal 3delight settings.

Also in some of the promos there is a red beam coming out of the gun - they show in the in-program icons too. Is that just a promo look or is there something that is supposed to work on the gun when using it?

Yes, the Iray texture sets for the gun load both Iray and DAZ default shaders.

As for the beam - click down the bone hierarchy (you have hip with sight and ray bones).  Select ray and in parameters you'll see a 'Ray Length' setting which will extend the beam/ray.

oh WOW!!! Thank you SimonJM!! I NEVER even noticed that ray LOL!!!!

Is it normal to have ds default shaders mixed wiht iray shaders tho on a product, when using Iray?

I noticed the same thing being mentioend in a thread on another product and the PA said that the conversion process did a jod job withthe 3Delight textures, and from teh textures involved with the gun suspect the same thing here.

As far as the ray goes, well that was just bloody-mindeness on my behalf!  This is one of the may products I have that I have never used, so I was curious and having looked at the material zones was struck by the ones called Red1, Red2 and Red3.  I have seen flames, etc., been controlled by a parameter dial so had a look at the base node, then I checked 'within' working on the bassi that the 'morphs' do not laways appear on the base node, saw the Ray bone and .. well, voila!
