Question about Animated Textures Script Pro

I just recently bought the older version, but haven't had a chance to play with it since I'm still learning how to do the whole animation thing. I tried to find thread for in it in the Commercial Forum, but couldn't. What is different about this new version? Just the LIE stuff? or the preview? Any chance of a discount for owners of the previous version if I hold off buying it? Are there any advantages to buying the newer version if you already have the previous version? I'd like to know more about the product.

Ditto on all these questions, especially on the upgrade. I'm especially concerned about the note that it has to be rendered through the script rather than the normal renderer, which sounds like it's something that could easilly become useless with a future update to DS.
I'm obviously not DraagonStorm, but I suspect the reason for the need to render through the script instead of through DS is because of a bug that exists in DS right now about textures not refreshing properly. If you update a texture, but keep it the same name, DS will sometimes like to render with the original vesion, and not the updated one. Rendering through the script is a work around for this behavior. One would hope that a future update to DS would eliminate the need to render through the script, and open up the possibility to render either way. I do understand the concern about future updates possibly making certain scripts unviable though.
My own questions for DragoonStorm are wht are the supported file types in addition to jpeg, is there a minimum or maximum size for the pictures, and is there a maximum limit on the amount of textures that can be rendered?
Thanks!
The Pro version will animate LIE files. The texture files are keyframed to the timeline, and you can preview the animation in Daz Studio without rendering.
I requested an additional 30% off for people who already own the older version.
The reason for having to render thru the script is that I found that the animated images did not update correctly or render correctly 'all the time', when rendering outside of the script. The script basically makes sure all texture files are updated for each frame before rendering.
The limits are the same limits as Daz Studio itself.
Sounds good, DraagonStorm. I'll wait to see if the discount for previous owners happens. I noticed before, on other products, the discount offers showed up the day after the product came out. I'm not sure why, but I can wait to see if that happens. Thanks for the quick response.
Hmm. Looks like the upgrade option hasn't happened yet.
Nope. Still waiting. If it doesn't, I'll be waiting a little while longer.
I am new to animation and do not have a clue how to animate textures or where you even get the textures from to animate. I have the program but need help using it. Anyone can help I would appreciate or even point me to a youtube video. Thank you!!!
