This is mostly about the promos. Because Daz and their customers are not friends in promo land.
1. Holy crap she's so pretty o.o
2. There's still the pinky-notquoteorange-ness to the images but I know by now to ignore that.
3. She's so pretty o.o
4. The eyes and makeup I can see look nice, and I know how many there are from the list at the bottom, but I really prefer those promo pages that just do boxes showing all of the available options.
5. It's kind of funny that she's for Victoria 7 because she gives me such an Eva impression (maybe it's the hair) xD
6. To Raiya, I don't know if it was you or Daz that decided the promos, but it's really better for us if we can see all of the hair and makeups (I know several are used across the shots, but not all in a simple image together.)
7. It'd also help to say which renders are which render engine, not just "Daz Render." (I'm assuming they're all Iray but I know there are a lot of 3DL fans and there are 3DL mats...)
8. Finally, she's so pretty o.o I'm in love. I'm also broke ._. But as soon as I'm not broke I will be a Brooklyn having person that has a super pretty character.

It was mentioned in another thread somewhere, that when using the official logos, "Daz render" means 3Delight.
Yup, I read that too. Now tell me that these are all 3DL renders and there is no Iray render here:

If they are all 3DL (they all look Iray to me but it's possible) then it's weird for Daz to not select a promo of their flagship renderer that they push so hard. If they are Iray renders, the sticker is misleading. They could also be a mix of the two, but there's no way to tell which is which.
See the problem?
We;ve sent in a query on this.
I' ll be interested in the answer too. I'm hoping that Daz will create some kind of required banner for promos that will always includes what engine it was rendered in...something a bit more official than---I read somewhere---
Why not just say ' 3 Delight Render' and avoid any possible confusion?
That said, Raiya's stuff always seems to render amazingly well in 3 Delight. Grabbed Brooklyn, and hoping for some African skins from her/him ( ? ) soon.
The promos look like iRay to me, and I would be very interested to know the light set up if that was done in 3DL.
BTW: I agree she is a very pretty girl, with a lovely pale skin texture that would work well on other shapes as well.
Woohoo. Instant buy as she hadn't got yet still more black or very dark brownd eyegbrows; course I've had to tweak the eyelashes, as they are kinda dark - obviously she uses a trowel to put on makeup. :)
Thanks Raita.
I knew it had t be Iray renders. I'm sure she can be rendered nicely in 3Delight or Iray. I picked her up now to get the special on the After The War prop.
Do you need to buy 'Victoria 7 HD' for Brooklyn ?
I actually really like her eyebrows.
No, just regular Victoria 7.
Thanks.
You don't need V7, if you're mainly interested in the textures; the shape will be differnet if you don't own.
indeed, they are awesome. :)
Okay, it's rare that I write something on this forum because I don't have that much time. But now, for this, I want to make time. I bought Brooklyn immediately from the moment I saw it. So I did with Cailin -from the same vendor- a little while before. Damn, I'm so happy with these purchases! These skintextures are top notch, really! When I buy a character, I look to the eyebrows first. I love those realistic eyebrows and I love those pale skintextures. And I'm a bit tired of those brown skins, with black eyebrows which just look like dark stripes a lot of the time. So that's why I greet Cailin and Brooklyn with a lot of enthusiasm and hope there'll follow more of those realistic light skin characters!
Wonderful Bohor! Yes, very high quality textures from this vender. Bohor, would you please post a sample Iray render with a simple emmiter light or mesh light? Many many thanks.
Sorry magnumdaz, for my late answer. But here you have the Cailintexture (left), the other one is Brooklyn. Both characters are morphed with a mix of V7, Josie7 and Eva. The lights are the 'Intensity Lights' from Sveva, which you can find on Rendo.
I bought her as soon as she came out. Here's a quickie render I did just messing around with her. All I did was alter her cheek and nose structures slightly. Otherwise, she's as she came in the download.

I'm very happy with her, a VERY pretty lady and a ralistic looking one, too. One thing I liked about Brooklyn immediately was that she looks like a real woman, in addition to being beautiful. Kudos to her designer.
