How to use Dforce Presets? (as in ones made by content creator of item)

I tried selecting the piece of clothing. Double clicking the Dforce Present and clicking simulate but that doesn't work. What steps am I getting wrong?

    What do you mean by "that doesn't work" ? Normally a "dForce Preset" is just a Simulation Setting Preset which will change the settings in Simulation Settings pane. You may double-check that.

    But if they're material / shader presets to change the dynamic surface properties, you have to go to Surfaces pane to check the changes before simulation.

    You may also need to select the surface for it to work depending on which product you mean. Assuming those are shader presets like in this product rather than material presets.
