InaneGlory Christmas Freebies

Just wanted to say thanks to InaneGlory for the amazing freebies. With iray being somewhat difficult to figure out, at least for me anyway, it really helps to have the iray essential products to give new life to all my characters. Also, thanks to for all the shaders and lights as well.  I for one have no interest in figuring out all the calculations of iray lights, render settings and such, I just wanna make art.  All of the DestinysGarden and InaneGlory iray lights and shaders give me a starting point and I can make tweeks and changes as I please. Keep up the great work, you keep making them and I'll keep buying them, I am truly a fan.

    I wonder if IG's doing the whole line or just specific characters. We're probably going undoubtedly see ones for characters like Lilith and Gianni (popular G2 bases), but I'm hoping we'll get to see some for the teens as well.

    I am wondering what the settings are because the 3DL "Anatomical Elements" materials don't quite match when you Ctrl-click with the Hip/Torso shader.

    You know, for scientific purposes and some such.

    Thank you everyone. While they haven't all been released yet the official list is: Aiko, Darius, Gia, Gianni, Girl, Giselle, Lee, Lilith, Mei Lin, Monique, Olympia and Stephanie. Sorry no teens and no Keiko. Other than that I believe I got all the official Genesis 2 characters done.

    And yes, there was a mistake in some of the packages. While uploading the 12 character sets I ended up grabbing from the wrong folder and an older version of the characters got uploaded. The character and full material files are all correct and as they should be but some of the girl's make-up options are from an older version of the set and do not match up with the full material sets. Sorry, that's totally my fault. I will get a correct set of these uploaded and available to everyone who wants them later this week. I will post links on this thread when I have them ready.

    If you don't want to wait on me, some (but not all) of the characters make-up and boys private parts need the Translucency Color and Transmitted Color changed. Simply swap these out with the correct colors that are on the rest of that characters skin zones. Beyond that these settings need to be changed in the effected material zones:

    Transmitted Measurement Distance from 2 to 10

    Scattering Measurement Distance from 0.5 to 0.1

    SSS Amount from 0.3 to 0.5

    SSS Direction from -0.5 to 0.5

    Chiming in late here but I would also like to say "Thank You"  for the freebies.  They will be used often and very much appreciated.

    Agreed, I've been playing around with these presets and I've had good results so far.

    Also, they're a bit more flexible than they might seem at first — I got the Minotaur HD in the sale recently, and the Darius preset is perfect for converting it to Iray (you just need to remember to change the UVMap setting back the way it was after applying the preset).

    Does that mean that Scott 6 doesn't get an IG Iray Essentials package?

    Regardless, thank you for putting all the work into doing these and making them available for free.

    Scott, Nineve, Corey, Callie, Teen Jaden, Teen Josie, Brodie, Belle are the others, I believe.

    Honestly, once you have one or two, you have the benefit of something you can apply and tweak as needed.

    I noticed that too! To be fair the other one that appeared today is free but it is odd that Giselle has the freebie wording.

    Yes, I see that. That's not right. She should be free like at the others I'll see if I can get that fixed.

    Very cool. Thanks. You've made me interested in genesis 2 again because this is much better than manually converting the textures to Iray and hoping for the best.

    For Giselle's Iray materials, her makeup face options seem off.

    Under Surface tabs -> Transmitted Measurement Distance

    All skin surfaces are normally "10.00". The makeup options are "2.00". It's not difficult to fix, but you have to remember to fix it before you render her.

    No just the ones I have uploaded so far. And not all of those needed to be updated. I wanted them to have a more permanent home than the couple of days they were available for here. All the other sets will be available soon and will be listed here on this thread when they are.

    Ugh, that kinda sucks. So now we have to uninstall the old ones and leave them sitting in DIM forever because Daz can't be bothered helping out. Thanks, Daz~

    Honestly, I don't really know anything about Smart Content or meta-data but you'd think you shouldn't need to unistall anything just overright the old files with these new ones. Ultimately it was some of the character's make-up/lip options and the boy's private parts that had errors. Everything else is good.

    And the mistake was mine, not theirs. They argeed to built installers and host these products just so I could give them away. Don't blame them for my mistake.
