Genesis 3 Female is the base and Eva 7, Bethany 7, and Victoria 7 are moprhs based on the base.

They each have a unique body and face shapes as well as skin textures.

  • but when i look at victoria 7 i see so many female chracters that are based on her morphs look like her but like beth and karen not somuch why?

V7 is a morph for G3F, and has quite a distinctive face that people will like/dislike. A character that is based on V7 will start by using a certain portion of her morph (could be 50% or more, depends on the PA that created the character), and then the rest of her look is defined through custom morphs and/or using morphs from the G3F head morph package. Depending on how far away from the original V7 morph the new character is will determine how much it resembles V7. In my opinion too many of the V7 characters available on the market look near identical to V7. Calin, the V7 character released yesterday looks very different to V7 to me, so is likely using less of V7's own head morph.

Beth and Karen have their own morphs directly off G3F and so look different, same with many PA characters based off G3F directly and do not rely on at least some of V7's morph.

Dial out the Victoria 7 and try the others. It's a great way of getting new looking characters.

  • if someone is into the thick or built women would buying bethany be better or is karen better or do you have any recommenations?

Depends on the kind of thick or built you're after.

The basic head and body morph packages are for the G3F base, not specifically for Victoria 7. The G3F base is free with DAZ Stuido. You do not need V7 or any of the DAZ character bases in order to create your own characters. But you *will* need the morph packs.

The body morph pack includes both a Heavy and I think a Body Builder morph.

Now where the character bases come in in some cases is in the scaling. Bethany is not obese, which one can do oneself by using the heavy morph, but she is scaled broader and deeper than Victoria, and has been carefully worked with to be able to bend and pose without the adjusted scaling looking wierd. Arabella, is the opposite, being scaled narrower and shallower. Eva is marginally narrower than Victoria, but not as drastically. Karen is stylized to look well as a superheroine in spandex, and Josie is scaled down in all three coordinates and her porportions have been adjusted to resemble those of a girl who hasn't quite reached her full growth.

Most of these shapes could concievably be copied by hand by someone with the G3F base and the basic morph kit, but without a modeling program the various areas where the scaling isn't exactly the same (and there will be such areas) are likely to show ridges, or to look peculiar when the figure is posed. The joints also will need adjustment, and while studio is designed to create and adjust rigging, if you don't know what you are doing, you can end up with a mess.

Body Builder is one of the default G3F morphs, along with pear and emaciated; the really interesting part is that there are three different variations of what you can modify with the Body Builder morph. The addon morph packs for the base figures have more targeted morphs that can be combined with the included morphs, or used instead of them,
