Picked up a sub to Photoshop ('cause GIMP was making me a bit crazy). Been spending a lot of time playing with it, trying to learn some postwork and photo manipulation skills (including how to make gas giants!)
My latest effort:
Earth Magic
Model: Olympia 7 (modified slightly) with Paloma Skin
Dress and Staff: Fantasia, modifed w/Iray shaders
Oh, btw, that body hair thing is neat, but holy poot it sucks up resources.
I have a scene with two figures, LAMH on one of them, and Through the Woods scene. The whole thing is 2 MB file.
One G2F with Real Short Hair and several body fuzz elements, a few lights, and nothing else (no architecture, no clothes)? 115 MB. Zow.
It's not nice when DAZ mo
I was thinking of getting that really short hair and that buzz cut because really that's about 95% of the hairstyle men wear but you seem to say LAMH is as lightweight as 'really short hair'???
I like the looks but I'd like the same scene only with her standing in the Greek Baths or the Cupola done up in white marble.
Last night, I figured out how to apply a custom image map to a computer screen and turn it into a light emitter. I created a 10-ft square plane primitive to give the light something to bounce off of:
1. Click the Surface Selection tool in DS.
2. Click the Surfaces pane.
3. Click on the computer screen in the Viewport.
4. Apply the Iray Emission shader to the computer screen.
5. Select the computer screen's Emission parameter in the Surfaces tab.
6. Click the Image Map icon to the left of the Emission Color.
7. Navigate to and select the image you want to use. Make sure the Emission Color value is pure white.
8. Tweak the emission values until you get the desired lighting.
The image map I used is is a 2K screenshot of my desktop with this project open in DAZ Studio.
For the black background, I selected Dome and Scene in the Environment section of the Render Settings pane, and used a solid black image for the Environment map.
Had a bit of a play last night, G2F with the V4 AS Alice morph genx2 converted. Iray render studio for lighting, beautiful skin product, CPU render only.
That's really nice
Sort of a good-news, bad news situation here.
Good for Spider, Bad for Girl.
Although that pick look useful, but a spider that size would have a seriously thick carapace.
She could use it to poke the spider in the eye, she wouldn't even need particularly good aim to do it!
Have you been watching Gilligan's Island?
Here's Gia, the gorgeous athletic beauty : )
@nonesuch00, as requested. Greek Baths:
Thanks. It's very good. And the fire is a needed touch.
Very nice.
So I'm on an absolute roll of renders and this ones even not super postwork-y!
I completely lucked out with that bloom on the neck and I love it so much. Apparently women lounging on rocks is becoming a theme for me
Excellent job on the pose, too! She looks balanced and like she is truly interacting with the environment.

That is spectacular!
...this is really nice.
Here's one of my first Iray renders:
Custom body morph for G3F, Rayn shorts, hair and earrings, and a jacket I found for G3F on ShareCG.
Very nice render, what did you use for lighting?
The lighting and background are from the following HDRI pack, sky number three; http://www.deviantart.com/art/Iray-Skies-Volume-1-522179745
Ahh yes, nice HDRI set, I have that one also.
Farm Girl- Iray with HDRi Back ground
Best viewed full size for 1080 HD
...OK been gone for a bit (RL stuff) heres a go at the Leela scene using Atmo Cam for Iray. While the effect is kind of nice and does lend itself more to Chicago in the future at night, it does cancel the moonlight effect as well as the city sky backdrop, turning the sky a flat dark blue.
Camera set to Medium Light fog with Sepia colour (using the default fog colour made the whole scene turn blue).
First pic, the original scene, second one using the Atmo Cam.
Looks nice. That must be Country Lanes or similar from that fellow that made the Hapsburg village recently. Can't wait to get the landscapes and architectures collected that I want now that I more or less the characters, hair, and clothing collected that I want.
Well I wanted to set up a scene using some of the goodies I picked up during the sales this past month and I started out with some marble shaders and the new Mec4D shaders and the clothes and on some of the scenery that's not visible in this render. Those shader presets are awesome, by the way. Anyway my plan was to have the girl eventually posed with an AR-15 rifle and a bunch of scattered shell casings like she was the last defender standing but when I imported the rifle and started to shader it up with the Mec4D PBM shaders DS crashed. This has nothing to do with the shaders, I think it was a memory issue. Anyway, nothing saved. So this test render is all I have. Sigh. But I was actually pretty pleased with how the surfaces looked in it so might as well share.
Ryu for Genesis 3 Male,
hahaha just kidding...or...maybe not.
First render with Iray Superpak thing.
(Also Royal Eastern dragon and Leviathan)
...Leapin Lizards!
