Best path to fit G3M and M4 clothes to G2F?

Just some idle thoughts I've had bubling in my head...

If I wanted to use some G3M clothes on G2F..or M4 for that matter...What would be the better path way?

Going from G3M/M4 -> G2M then to G2F, or just straight to G2F?

(and I guess for M4, -> genesis->G2F)

Really no specific plans or even attempts with this so far, just some prelim research..
