About the new dropdown menus on store pages

I just noticed a little while ago that we now have dropdown menus on the store page header, and hiding the Sort By and Filters options. Is there anything we could say to convince DAZ that this is a hideously bad design choice, and should be reversed immediately?

Edit: just noticed another change that must have been someone's "good idea" — the Added To Your Cart popup isn't a popup any more, it's now a page in its own right. Another Bad Idea™ IMHO. Anyone agree?

That's a browser thing afaik. When I use a small window I get the dropdown, when I use the whole screen I don't. Cart pops up regardless for me but is probably related in some way.

  • And now it's gone back to normal. What happened there?

It's simple...everything to do with the store is script based with CSS (cascading style sheets) deciding the layout.  Either the CSS or one of the scripts choked...

  • Not this time; a choked script can't create a new icon on the page and fold the menu options inside it. I's all confuseded now...

It was probably the CSS that choked...or the script that loads big parts of the layout.  I  recently had to replace my network card and I was geting near constant disconnects, so pages would not load completely and the type of layout you described for the store was what I would get if the CSS didn't load correctly.
