Is anyone working on a rigging tutorial for the current model of the dual whatever-it-is? Blondie9999 did a very good rigging tut circa DS4.0, but it didn't deal with the new kid on the block.

Um, the new kids on the block are rigged so ? what exactly are you after. To make clothing?
dual quantum rigging
To rig figures. I had to make a rigged sawhorse for some illustrations for a book, and managed to do it. And to rig it, but there are some other characters that I might need eventually, and they'll need rigging.
Admittedly I may not need to do it for years, but the tut I used was written for 4.0 and I didn't need it until 4.6, and was very glad to have it.
Dual quaternion rigging isn't really all that different than tri-ax rigging...as far as the skeleton goes. It's the weight mapping and the 'internals' that make most of the difference. And as far as it goes, the basics are pretty much the same for any type of rigging.
What's more important, for a tutorial, would be updating where the tools to do it all are...and if any names have been changed.
I have the tutorials for the Tri-ax figures but when I come to the weight mapping bits, it is completely different. There's now a sigle "General" weight map region - all the others are listed under "Unused" (I'm going from memory as I don't have it in front of me right now). Also, G3 figures have different bones. So I'll echo the OP - do we need updates for our tutorials?
From my recent experience with rigging new figures for Genesis 3, the only major difference from previous Genesis figures is that I had to repeat the adjust rigging and ERC freeze steps before the skeleton lined up properly. I have not yet done any rigging of clothes for them, so I don't know what's different there, if anything.
