G3 males Gens

Who was responsable for the G3Male Penis figure? Looks like this person has never seen one. I mean especially the uncircumcised / circumcised on/off thing. Any man who has an uncircumcised penis can move the foreskin back and if the penis erect, the foreskin move back mostly alone. But this figure allows only on and off and nothing between. The figure is anatomically incorrect and need a big update.

I think you're talking about preference rather than anatomically complete. The morph is correct and just that, a morph.  The animated erc M6 used was a pain to texture (since m4 days.. and most times it wasn't textured correctly so it looked weird either added or removed), a bigger pain to make morphs for (5 corrections per morph) and most people didn't even use it. I don't use it myself, and I don't miss it either. I rather have what's been addeed to the gens rather than the thing that was removed.

As with the real thing ... what we have never had, we never miss. ;)

I don't see many renders of others using it as well. It better for those polys not to be wasted there and used elsewhere. Just consider it simplified for this generation ;)

I agree pretty much with all of that, although I have used the morph quite often. The fact is though, due both to the mesh itself and the difficulties with texturing, it was in my view impossible to make it look convincing. The M7 version is much more realistic—and easier to manage—in my opinion, especially for the uncircumcised state. What greatly disappoints me, however, is that without the HD morphing tools for DAZ the ordinary consumer is very limited in what they can do with it in terms of customization, as what I can see, it's highly dependent on being HD. Non-DAZ PAs will also not, I presume, be able to do the HD morphs it really needs, and DAZ PAs will not be able to sell such a product at DAZ.

  • Not really a big issue for me... instead I was wondering how come there's no gens texture for the G3M base (Eddie)!  G2M gens came with a texture for the base (Philip) instead...

    Anyone knows why?

Because the G2M used M5 as the base textures so it already had them

Right! Hadn't thought about that... but still leaves us with one more "incomplete" character ;-)

  • The Genesis 3 Female base also doesn't come with Genital Textures - possibly because the bases don't come with Genitals in the first place?

There are many examples of people using the uncircumcised morph (G2M) - just look at DeviantArt. The problem was always the textures - not the morphs.

  • I don't do very many nudes, and I haven't posted any of them on my Deviant Art page.  However, when I do them, I like having the option of uncircumcised.  All of the males in my real life are uncircumcised and 3D males just happen to look more natural to me in the uncircumcised state.  I hate 'cutting it off' as it were.  Unitl I saw this thread, I hadn't had a chance to take that close a look at the G3 gens.  It is a little disappointing to hear that it is not realistic when it comes to the uncircumcised male.  So, I took a look and all I can say is, Wow! that is bad!  It isn't even adjustable.  It only seems to be either on or off with no possiblity of adjustments.  That is just so wrong in so many ways I can't even begin to imagine trying to do a nude with G3Males.  M6 had an adjustable forskin which was very handy when making more realistic renders.  As someone who has uncircumcised males in her life, I have to say it is dissappointing to have such a major part of the genital anatomy totally unusable.  And compared to M6, I don't even know that the morph for the G3M genitalia is all the realistic either.  IMO, I think M6 genitalia was much more realistic than M7.  The texture seems to be better, but not the morph.  Whoever did the genitalia did a very bad job.  Very dissapointing.

As Nadino says, take a look at DeviantArt.  I see more uncircumcised nudes than circumcised over there.  There are plenty of renders using the foreskin feature for G2M.
