Questions for Maya users

How do I bring Genesis 3 into Maya?  What is a good web forum for Maya support?  Other than YouTube where can I find good tutorials for Maya beginners?

I can answer that-- Export from Studio at native resolution, and import to Maya the same way-- 1u=1cm. Turn off all the options except ignore invisible nodes, and it works great. Autodesk keeps a pile of tutorials for all their software close to hand, and the Maya fourms are good as far as getting entry-level questions answered.

I rent Maya LT on a monthly basis, and it does help when doing morphs and such.

I go to Lynda.com and Digital-Tutors.  I have a subscription for both and it's worth every penny.  Export as collada or fbx.  I haven't tried gen3 in Maya yet.  Need to check it out since there are facial bones.

edit: registered for digital tutors but unable to watch a video tonight as it is getting late.

I was planning to do a tutorial how to export a DS figure into maya and get it ready for animation but then I didn't. I might do it if you would be interested.

I use DS figures to animate in maya all the time : ) Feel free to give my channel full of my amateur animations a look - https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC_ANmDykeGcsiXIXIUtARWw

It is nothing fancy really : )

Oh and let me know if a tutorial about that is something you would like to see! I always wanted to have this thing written down for myself anyways so I might as well publish the workflow I use.

I'd be very interested, I'm very new to Maya, so any tutorial dealing with DAZ figures would be extremely helpful. Any info on getting morph data imported and usable in Maya would also be greatly appreciated!!
