All these sales, none for what I need...

I've been patiently waiting for the latest sale on 3D Universe's catalog. I'm working on a new book and wanted to use the toon generations for a couple of scenes and then pick up Sadie and Sam for genesis for the next book. Today I got excited at the catch up sale yet no 3D Universe. I am now sad. What am I to do? sad

    3D Universe was on sale a few times during the PA sale of September/early October, but I do not think they released anything in the PC sale, thus no sale now. If you can wait a couple more weeks we will have the black Friday sales period, when most of the store will be on sale.

    I might have to. I'm hoping to get the book completed and ready before December 1st. It's a kids Christmas picture book so that's pushing it a little but could work.

    Can you tell me a little more about this? :) What kind of discounts does this usually mean?

    If I remember correctly, then last year Black Friday sales ran for a whole weekend, and the discount on the bulk of the products was 50%. There may have been various sales games to get even better discounts (eg: buying 1 or more new releases etc), but I can not remember. Naturally this does not guarantee anything for how the sale runs this year, but I suspect it will be something similar.

    Thanks. So similar discounts to what we have now. The reason I asked is that I have a bunch of non PC items in my cart now at 50% off and I'm trying to decide if I should get them now or wait for a better discount. I will probably just go for them, and if a better deal comes along in the next 30 days, I can still ask for the difference.

    @thenotoriousjed could this work for you, also? Get the items now with no discount, and if they get to be on sale in the next 30 days, just ask the difference back? You need to get them within the next 2 weeks anyway. If they go on sale, you win. If not, you had an extra few days to work with them, without waiting. (This is assuming you don't mind getting them at full price, in case they are not on sale within the next 30 days.) (Please let someone confirm that this will work, I have not done this yet, I just read on the forums that this could work.)

    I would never guarantee what is going to happen on future sales, relying on something maybe coming on sale fairly soon is bound to generate an outbreak of Murphy's Law.

    It could though I find it hard to pull the trigger at full price when I know how often they go on sale. Might give it at least a few more day. I only need them now for 2 pages, the rest I have everything for and have worked out.
