Force Dynamic

Is there a plugin for DAZ Studio to apply forces such as Wind, etc. in Poser?

Thanks!

Dynamic Control Plugin includes wind forces, but that works only for DS dynamic clothes.

  • For Optitex dynamic clothing the Dynamic Clothing Control plugin does that, but it works only for items made using that system rather than for any item.

This works exporting/importing objs. For add simulation from obj Morph loader tool is need. Fisty's info was very useful for this. Set Reverse Deformation to yes enable import the morph to the posed and fitted dress without distortion.

There is a dynamics plugin as the others have said, but it's ~$50 and only works with very specific clothing. Optitex has a bunch of freebies on their website, as well as paid products. Daz has some really quality dynamics as well, but they're usually pretty pricey. I use this plugin a lot and the wind is kind of clunky and you'll find that they can take some gimmicks to get working really well. Any intricate pose with dyamics will necessitate animated posing unless you're very patient.

But worth the effort; especially as the new shaders allow for lots of options with the dynamic clothes.

Definitely, I just wanted to highlight that it can be a little tedious and is definitely more frustrating than comforming clothes. I like to know the downsides before spending ~$50, so I figured they would too. I use them for pretty much every scene at this point.
