Request for Star Trek file conversion Max to obj

I have a beautiful hanger deck for the original TOS Enterprise that was given to me, with the understanding I would find someone to convert it for my use. So this is done with the authors permission.

I do not own 3DMAX so can't convert it myself and have long since used up my 30 trial ability.

Anyone interested let me know I would be most grateful and you will get a very nice Original Enterprise Hanger deck for your trouble :)

Wish I could, sigh ... maybe the author would let you share it if/when you get one? The latest Max trial didn't work very well on my laptop.

Is it a .max (whole scene) or .3ds (model)? There are several converters for .3ds, including this online one (which I have never tried, sorry).

I don't think there's an easy way to do a .max'

The only way to convert a .max file is through Max itself.

  • I have the latest version if you are still looking for help

I will send you the file as well nightwolf1982 look for a  message from me with the link, oh and FYI the author has allowed me to share this with anyone who can convert it as he knew I needed it converted. He just asks that all those who recieve it follow the readme file and give him credit if you use it.

  • OK, got set up in DAZ Studio.  Were you looking for a specific program or just the .obj?

Daz Studio will be perfect, if you also share the obj file then Poser users can use it as well.

nightwolf1982 did a great job this is awesome. I am going to create some higher resolution textures the ones it comes with are pretty low end, and once it is done i will post this for sharing to everyone. Again much thanks to everyone who was willing to help and nightwolf1982 who one the chance to help me ;)

The only issue I have with it on my computer is iray crashes even after updating textures to iray format, 3delight renders perfectly though and it is a really good set piece for any Star Trek Fan.

I am on call this week so give me some time to update the textures and upload it for download.
