What's with all the numbers after my username?

That's new. I don't like it. Can I change it to get rid of the extra numbers and letters? I've been eclark1849 since I was on AOL back in the '90s.

    It was added when the forums software changed. Usernames are now the same as Gallery names, so if you have a gallery then that name would have become your user name.  If no Gallery then a user name is generated from your email address. The random stream of letters and numbers has been added in order to prevent the duplication of user names which was happening with the older forum softwre.

    Yeah, I don't pop in frequently anymore, but I needed some DS help, so might as well come to the source.
