Curious, can the Morphing Pantyhose for Genesis 3 Female(s) materials be used like shaders on other hosiery products or are they custom to the UV of the base product? I ask because I like the various options, including the types of hose styles themselves and I've always wanted to use a convincing shader on products like the bodysuits.

The set for Genesis 2 are not shaders, textures are on templates.

Well, are there any realistic hosiery shaders out there?
I want to know how well they work with shoes. I noticed the promo images didn't include any examples.
Shoes fit to the hose and smoothing modifier applied.
Willowfan beat me to it, but since I've made this render I'll post it anyway.
Fitting the shoes to the hose rather than the character makes you avoid most poke throughs. As an example the purple shoes to the right had terrible poke throughs when fitted to the character, but after fitting it to the hose it all went away. (well, almost all, at least. There's still one poke through dot if you look closer)
yeah the textures are just for that product, haven't got this one yet but will get I've got the gen2 version great product and while yes you can use that on gen 3 this new one has a lot of new and different styles/patterns from what saw of the promos so worth getting too
Have you checked out Sheer Greatness? I've used the shaders on all sorts of clothing items.
Only Downside is Sheer Greatness has no Iray support:( It is fine for 3DL renders though.
I'll be trying it with IRAY (DA shaders probably although I have a selection to try), if it works OK, will keep. They look great from the promo, so so crossing fingers that all work well.
I have Pantyhose Meshes in my wishlist over at Renderosity. I was actually looking for pantyhose rip brushes which I also found there by the same artist. She seems to specialize in merchant resource stuff for texture artists who do lingerie. It says seamless tiles in .png format and I was thinking that I would try them in the displacement map or something. You would just have to add whatever color you want. Just waiting for them to go on sale again. I haven't seen anything like what you are asking about and I've looked. I'm just now starting to try my own texturing, so I'm not even sure if what I'm suggesting will even work, but the product page says that they are all black on a transparent background so I'm thinking it should work. She has a lot of lace meshes and stuff, a lot says Poser only, which is why I only wishlisted those things that say works in any 2D program. There might be something there you can use. I tried finding something like this here first and couldn't find anything. Also, if you have it, Filter Forge has some really nice lace textures to play with or you can create your own. I bought it when it was on sale at a really low price and am slowly learning how to use it. I've been playing around with that to try and figure out how to make my own textures and then hopefully learn how to make my own shaders as the processes seem to be quite similar. We really need some nice lace shaders like they have over at the other places. Most places seem to gear everything to Poser's cloth room. I don't do Poser, only Daz. Proper lace shaders for pantyhose and veils. The closest product I've seen here is the Fun with Yarn Classic Crochet, but the meshes are too close together for pantyhose. They are great for lace table cloths, though.

Anyway, thanks for the renders, gus, although, from willowfan's render it looks like the mesh itself isn't very skin tight. Meshes like the Supersuit, Flipmode's GSuit 2, and 3dwizard's Catsuit are all much tighter. As for Sheer Greatness, I do indeed have them, and while they are fantastic for what they are, I'm looking for something more matt and plain. I'm not really a fan of fishnet and fancy mesh pattern with underwear. The base materials on the MPH, however are perfect examples of what I'm looking for:

Hmm, for me they dont work. They look white in the viewport preview and render white also. What can that be?
You need to apply materials to them. They come with a whole lot to choose from and it's not only colours, but also shapes and patterns.

Yeah, funny how this one emerges right when I start getting holiday scene requests again. I have a dancer friend who commissions me annually for her studio's rendition of the Nutcracker, promotional art by yours truly. She agrees that my tights never look realistic enough with IRAY, we want as much authentic appearance as we can get. So, diffuses, opacities aren't enough to cut it anymore. I need some real-looking hosiery shaders...
I have this set and it didn't come with Iray shader presets. The standard materials don't look much like real hose in Iray in my opinion. Like you, I wish someone would put out some decent such materials.
