Help with Forums! It keeps signing me out!

I cannot post here without some difficulty, as there seems to be a sudden bug with the forums. Every time I come here, it automatically brings me to a page where it says "Signing Out". I have no idea why, but every link I click on, I MUST stop the page from loading fully, or it brings me to the sign-out page. Oh please fix this XD Just to make this one post was a hassle!

It's pretty funny about the "can't reproduce" since it seems to be pretty common. Does seem to be random though, For me, it will happen once or twice in a row, then not happen for the next several times I'm in the forum. Then sometimes it will happen once every few times.

Some of us were having a chat about this and did wonder if maybe it had anything to do with ClodFlare areas.  I was one who hadn't had any problems untiol quite recently.  I discovered that CloudFlare had set up a 2nd server for the UK, and I happen to fall right on the cusp of the 2 areas, so could be getting my stuff from either., especially as I am on a dynamic IP.  If one server is caching differently to the other and my IP change changes the server used, that could affect things?  My problems did coincide with the new server beta tests it appears.

Now I find some mornings when I open Daz 3D I go straight to the store page, and am logged in already. Other mornings I go to the home page and am not logged in.   This is using the same bookmark to enter Daz 3D. I close my computer down every night.

I have the same problem as chohole. Only started recently. Wonder if I'm on the new Cloudflare area.

Old Clodflare for UK was London    Now there is one in Manchester.

But if there is anything in our specualtion, it could affect anyone who is situated on the cusp between ClodFlare servers.

I'm in the US. It happens pretty much any time I switch between using my phone and my computer after, oh, an hour or so of inactivity.

YES...THAT IS ALMOST ASSUREDLY BY DESIGN!

99.9% of all websites I know have that exact same behavior, just most of them do it 'silently'.

As to logging out after an hour...that's a bit different and can be many different things doing that.

  • I only browse on my pc and I have the issue fairly consistently. I had issues forever with the old site, where I'd see nothing but cloudflare for days on end until I learned that I needed to delete the cookie every week or two.

Hi all, good thing I stumbled onto this thread. I've actually found that this *doesn't* happen on Firefox/Gecko, but repeatedly happens on Chrome/Opera/Webkit browsers. Does anyone else use Firefox and still have this problem?

happens to me is Safari 9.0.1 on OS X 10.11 (both most recent) but before then I used Chrome until it decided it needs more RAM than a Maya cluster.

it's only used on one computer, one place, one ISP and it's unpredictable.

You may be bouncing between two Cloudfront locations...unpredictable is the best way to describe it.

    Or a similar one.

  • I started having this issue just this AM. What I did was to go to the main Shopping page, log out (if I was logged in) and then log in again. Then go to the forums. All works fine. It feels like it's some kind of login issue with the forum's codebase. I've noticed that in some sections I see a message that pops in and out very fast that I'm being logged in.

2.5 min of this thing banging it's head against the wall before I had to quit out of it since it was giving me a headache.

Have you tried deleting your Daz cookies and letting them rebuild?  Or possibly, more severe, delete all cookie, although I know some people don't like to do that.

I deleted all the DAZ cookies a while back, that doesn't make the issue stay away, it just comes right back.

I think the owness is on Daz to fix this. obviously this is not isolated, they implemented a flawed system.

Daz 3D is trying to get it sorted.  Otheres are also doing their own research. The trouble is that there are different versions of the bug, it is not consistent.  Also it only affects some users.  These are always the worst bugs to find and eradicate.

Apparently it can be caused by the ClodFlare bouncing between 2 servers or by the user switching between more than one computer/phone/tablet to log in to the site and it can also be weird cookie behaviour.

  • Hmm I've never heard of ClodFlare... but I am in Japan and using Firefox. Finally though, it seems today I can access just fine. For now ~_~

It wouldn't be quite so annoying if there were only some kind of easily seen pattern to the weird behaviour. Sometimes I can walk away from the computer long enough to make then eat supper, and still be logged in when I come back; sometimes I see the "signing you back in" message for a couple of seconds while in the middle of continuous forum activity; sometimes I abruptly lose the ability to click on the link in an e-bot — I get dumped to my Account page, and this will not stop until I fix my silently-logged-out state by clicking a thread link on an actual forum page, which auto-logs me back in again.

Just out of morbid curiosity, is anyone else seeing that particular combination of Weird Stuff™...?

All but the logout while in the middle of continuous forum activity.  For me it usually seems to happen when I start a browsing session after having been away rather than in the middle.  (With the exceptions that it lets me see the forums for about a second before logging me out and hiding them, and of course if I make a purchase or use a 2nd PC it will log me out.)

    A typo I think.

BTW I don't log in with anything but this computer, and this browser.
