How to Install Layer Styles? (Windows 8/Adobe Photoshop Elements 9)

I've recently got a great deal of 'Ron's Brushes' products and the brushes are proving tremendously useful. However, there are also layer style '.ASL' files for some of them ('Slime', 'Blood II' and so on). I've been trying Google searches as for how to use these, but the folder paths they recommend don't seem to exist for me. I can only guess that's because they all seem to apply to either Elements 10 or Windows 7.
Does anyone have some advice for how to get these layer styles accessible for my Windows 8/Elements 9 combination?
I don't have a manual, sadly, because the programme came free with some hardware.

They should be in Presets/Styles. That's where mine all are.
You'll find presets in Appdata/Roaming/Adobe/Photoshop Elements/9.0/Presets/Styles
That's right.
On the other hand, I wouldn't know about Elements, but since in Photoshop you *load* styles by the collection, you *might* concievably be able to store them anywhere and just navagate to where those files live when you want to try them out on something. Could be useful to know if you have more than one program that uses them, and one of them insists on having the files inside its own folder.
In my Photoshop elements I have to load them as JOdel mentioned.
Open PSE, Click on Expert, click on Styles, there should be a dropdown menu just right of Styles, click the menu, click load, select the folder and the style you want then click load, PSE takes a few seconds to think about things and then it's added to the style list and PSE places a copy in the Appdata styles folder
I can't find an 'Expert' option. There's 'Export', but that's greyed out. 'Import' is clickable, but it only lists 'Frame From Video' and 'WIA Support'.
