Fast Grab Awesomeness!!

Holy cow!  Fast grab has a ton of stuff I have had in my wishlist for ages!!  (And a bunch that a lot of people probably do)

    First time I remember seeing Gen X in fast grab, definitely worth grabbing for anyone that still does not have this.

    Hmm. Is it possible to use http://www.daz3d.com/genx2-addon-for-genesis-2 without http://www.daz3d.com/genesis-generation-x2 ?

    As it reads, the first package will migrate morphs between Genesis 2 and Genesis figures back and forth, while the second is for pre-Genesis stuff. But the way it says 'addon' suggests you need the base.

    I doubt it. The notes specifically state " This add-on requires Genesis Generation X2 (GenX2). It will not work with the initial version of Genesis Generation X (GenX)."

    Ah, ok. Missed that. Snagged it up!

    It's a little annoying considering I'm likely to never use it specifically, but $12 toward something I will find very useful, what the hey.

    Anyone having any trouble with checkout and these Fastgrabs?  I've clapped my hands with glee, loaded up my cart, and after unsuccessfully trying to process an order twice, have sent in a support ticket.

    As stated by others you need both packages. The first one allows you to move Gen 3 (if you have the add ons for these) and Gen 4 morphs to Genesis. The Gen X 2 Add On extends this to using Genesis 2 as well. If you only ever use Genesis 2, then I can see why the original package may seem unneeded, but it is the part that contains all the clever stuff, the add-ons are data specs to allow the clever part to work with different figures.

    If you are trying to pay by credit card, then DAZ seems to be having major issues with these at the moment. Whilst this happens you can only buy with store credit or paypal.

    Havos: Ah, thanks.

    I pretty much use Genesis and G2F/M. So my primary interest is that divide... but hey, getting step 1 cheap is nice.

    it tends to do that during catch up sales involving the whole store. DAZ could just explain it in banner or a forum post, but their communication strategy seems to be 'silence is golden', so what we get instead is fun mysteries and speculation.

    It wouldn't be hard to set up a holding page that loads saying "Fast Grab suspended until sale ends".

    I kept clicknng the right scroll and hinking I had been distracted and missed it and going back and clicking, wax on, wax off ... ;)
