Gift Card questions

I am currently doing a DAZ-based webcomic. I'm not that far into it yet (14 pages), but someone PMed me and asked about donations. A lot of people on the site have an account with a place like Patreon or Paypal or what have you where people can donate a little money to the author.  I don't really have that, but I thought that if someone really wanted to, they could buy me a DAZ gift card... this would help me make better art for them, etc.  So I started poking around and I realized... I don't even know where you go to buy one. There doesn't seem to be link in any obvious place on the store. I'm also not sure how one would buy a gift card for someone ELSE, and direct it to the proper account. I tried looking in the knowledge base but although it explains how to *redeem* a gift card bought for you buy another person, I couldn't find anything that tells you how to *buy* a gift card for another person.

So before I respond to the person saying that if he really, really, wants to donate something, he can toss me a DAZ gift card for any amount he sees fit, can someone explain it to me, so I can explain it to him?  (I don't really expect anyone to want to do this, but I thought that I could put it in the FAQ section and if someone *really* wants to, I won't say no to it).

    The link is here

The person buying it for you can just put your name and email address as the recipient.

Just type "Gift" into the store search box. The Gift Card will be one of the first hits. Or just go here:  http://www.daz3d.com/gift-card

Buy the card and enter the recipient info into the necessary fiels (Name and email). You can also just put your own name and email everywhere and then later just send the code. After the purchase is completed, the recepient (you or whoever you entered)  should receive an email with a gift card code. One can then eoither redeem, the code for store credit (via the link in the email) or you can enter the code each time you make make purchase until card is used up.

You might want to think about just adding a PayPal "Donate" button to your website for that purpose, as it does not force people registering at another site before they can make a donation. That extra step might be a no-go for some fans already. PayPal gives a detailed step-by-step instructions for that, just google 'paypal donate button'.

I agree there.  I have a Paypal button,  most freebie providers do have a paypal button.  AS bad4u says it makes for making it easy.
