Wow, it's probably the door which looks high tech, LOL.
Looks like it has something to do with the size?
and no can opener! :-(
That certainly wouldn't help matters...
Sorry about the size! With a couple of different choices it could possibly have been smaller in size, but at one point the pack size was actually more than double of what it's now! Fortunately I was able to fix that! ;)
Of the 422 texture files there are around 40-50 of 4k maps so big chunk comes from there. Also, Iray and 3Delight require in some cases separate maps so there are lots of "duplicates".
I'd sooner have a larger fille when it helps complete the product, then shortcuts be taken, so +1 for doing it right. :)
I noticed that too! I thought it to be Porsimo's sense of humor. All those canned goods and only a screwdriver to open them.
the model looks absolutely great but does that door make or break security on a tin shack that looks like it would be compromised with one good kick?
The super secure bunker door ensures that no-one can get in against the resident's will (just don't lean against the walls, please)! And what comes to the can opener... Sorry, I couldn't find one. They're rare in the wasteland!
But, yeah. I started this with a wooden door, but the set completely lost the scifi feel I was after. The idea is, that the cabin is built up from bits and pieces and not exactly designed. So, I decided to put a bunker door to it
It looks like the proud new homeowner made a "stone soup" shack — found the door lying around somewhere, and built the shack around it.
One of my friends said the same - and that's a pretty spot on description of the idea
It's an awesome set. It went straight in the cart <3
Thank you!
Well I wanted to commend you on a great looking model and with the limit of what I can do in my modeler of choice I can see from the non textured comps you put a lot of work into the detail. Very nice!
Thank you! I really appreciate that!
I enjoy modeling the details so much I actually had to make myself to stop when I realised I was going to start doing details to barely visible parts (like those cord fixers) :)
