Overwrite base color?

Hello,

Is there a way to overwrite a base color? I'm adding a png as base color but it's ignored.

What do you mean "ignored"? Where are you adding the map? The base color, as with other color slots to which you can add a map, are multiplicative, meaning that white gives you exactly the value of the map, while any change to the color will change how the map shows up. If the color is set to black, then all the color values of the map are read as "0".

edit: also, what are you applying the map to? In order to properly display an image, the object needs to be UV mapped.

The mesh, with two parts (uvmaps are present), is colored and when I'm adding a image as base color in "Surface", it ignores the png

Was the texture map baked by the software that you used to make the clothing or was it made by you based on the UV template ? And ‘Ignored’ meant that the texture map 'did not show'?

Ok. Solution found : I change the whole object color to white and then I can add PNGs for parts.
