Question mainly for Forum Moderator's (how much skin is allowed female chest) in gallery?

Got a scene thats ready for final render and I don't want to break any rules here. One copy always goes to the Gallery, and other copies to other places/sites of mine, facebook etc, etc.
I read over the gallery rules but would like to get an opinion. The point in question of this piece are two females in a wading pool in ancient egypt, their tops, theres not a lot to them. Versus posting the render on here and potentially having a problem I thought I'd just give a link to a daz ebook from the store which has essentially the same top the two females are wearing. It is not the same, as the product I purchased is from rendo, but its just about exactly the same thing thats shown on the cover of this book. The ebook pic is:

Would this be safe and allowable/postable to the galleries?

Thanks
Rob

  • From what I've gotten in response to this question, as long as their nipples aren't showing, and the coverings aren't obviously pasties intended to skirt the rules, you're golden.

That said, if it appears in a store promo, the chances of you not getting away with it in the galleries is slim to none.

so holding / hiding breasts with hands is allowed?

Yeah, that would be different. It has to be clothing or part of the environment that makes sense. I did post a render completely nude image showing the undercurve of the breast down to about halfway between the navel and pubic bone once, to show a problem I was having with the shaders I was building. It was obvious she wasn't wearing anything, but when I sent a copy to Ann beforehand, she told me it was fine.

I don't see a problem with the sample image, and anything like it should be fair game. I've certainly seen worse out there.

uhm, u have me at a disadvatage, because I don't kow what that is.

It's a silly meme about Poser and rendering, usually by first-timers.

The is also a NVIATWAS thread where folks are posting images with that theme.  It has lots of examples of what is allowable and gives a bit of opinion on the subject of nudity.  Sorry don't have a link.

what's the skimpiest outfit in the store?

honestly though, i wouldn't want to see vicki holding her breasts.

put a couple of starfish, no worries.

Many people who are new to Poser/DAZ will often in the beginning (or forever) make renders of skimpily dressed ( "Naked", but not really... just mostly-almost naked) female warriors (DAZ's mainstay female figure used to be "Victoria"- Vicky), fighting monsters with a sword in a temple or dungeon... Thus the inside joke arose "it's just another Naked Vicky In A Temple With A Sword render again..." Also conveniently trimmed down to "NVIATWAS".

Wouldn't the starfish be doing the holding? Unless they are dead... Then they are like pasties... Then they are accessories... But live starfish holding boobs is inappropriate... unless they are nipple parasite starfish... That could be considered a condition... Is that allowed?

Anything that isn't obviously a part of the images and thus looks stupid is Frowned upon.

That's what I'm talking about... Those have to be some sort of parasite... Like remoras or nipple leeches.

How else are they staying on?... Little Mermaid at least has hers strung on like a bikini... These have to be glued on or they are parasites.

  • This is what I envisioned when he said starfish. Works for me. Might not always work though..

Is stuff that is just stupid looking frowned on too?

Depending on the judge the whole forum would be shut down :(

starfish don't have teeth, do they?

They probably use the "magic sticky tape" used by a good number of skimpy outfits sold in the store ;)

DAZ needs to move to NY. it's legal for men and women to show that they have the same part, even if the proportions are different.

  • MistaraMistara Posts: 38,675

what?  i live in NY.  i don't see lady boobies except in certain clubs.

  • The fact that something is in the store doesn't mean it is allowed in the galleries or forum - for example, we set very tight limits on the use of the Severed Man set.

    NO

What if the hands were severed, and incorporated into a bikini top?
