Adding background image

I've noticed some freebies in DS Magazine are just .jpg pictures... So I was wondering, should I add it before I render, or should I use it when I finish rendering with transparent background?

How can I add it in my DAZ before I render so I can visualize everything?

    Window > Panes (Tabs) > Environment.   In Type, choose Background, then use 'Browse' to find it.
