So why can't I make slight changes to the pose of my model?
When I try to make a slight change to my character's hand (for example), I will select the hand and then move the slider bar, but the hand doesn't move until I release the mouse button. And then it moves a lot (because I moved the slider a lot because the hand didn't appear to be moving.) Same thing happens with the leg or anything else on that figure. But I can add primitives to the scene and the sliders act normal for them. When I first added the character, I could pose him normally too. (Actually he is posed already, but I just don't understand why I can't make slight changes to him.) Did I click on something without realizing it?
I created a new scene and added different figures and they all pose normally. I even tried added same the character I used to a new scene and he reponses normally in the new scene. Just in the one scene does the posing respond funny on just the one figure.
Thanks

Adjusting any parameter (not just poses) with the slider can be problematic. Try double-clicking on the value of the slider, then type in the value you want. Often I'll use the sliders to get kind of close to my target, then type in smaller amounts until I get it to look the way I want.
If the scene is particularly heavy on resources it may be heavy on your computer - in these cases I often save out the figure in question as a Scene subset, then load the figure on its own to pose and finally merge it back into the scene after the fine adjustments are made to the pose, though I will be trying riftwitch's tip there in future to hopefully save me having to do this!!
