Finding out which genesis models and character is being used

I have an older project... I have a Genesis model, but I don't know which version or which character is being used. How do i see which character is being used, and if it's a genesis 3 model, ho do I make it a Genesis 8 model?

To see the generation info, select the figure in the Scene Tab and then click on the tiny handle at the bottom of the panel to open the detail section. Then change from Tips to Node and you can see which Genesis generation it is.
For which character? Well, you can view the "Currently Used" section of the shaping tab to view the active Morphs and likewise under the Surfaces tab you can view the skin that has been used. That's pretty much what a character is afterall - just morphs and skin applied to the base figure.
