Did you have revs when you started? from purchases prior to the sale's start?  They too have expiration dates.

I started with 40% I believe, and purchased 1 item Sept 1, 2 sept 2, 1 sept 3, 1 sept 4, nothing on the 5 and 6, and 1 on Sept 7, I can't remember exactly which days the meter dropped now, but I know on the 5th I was at 40%, thenon the 6th I dropped to 20%, bought an item yesterday went to 30% then later in the day it popped up to 40% and today was down at 30% agai...I have no idea how that worked

  • I've gone from understanding tghis sale to not at all understanding this sale.

I have a discount of 40%  and 40% from revs. In the previous rules if I had not bought today I would be on 40% and 30% from revs. So under the current rules if I don't buy today  will I be on 40% and 40% or what?

How did the 4 day thing work? If I were on 40% and 10% from revs and didn't buy, the very next day I would have been on 40% and 0% the rev wouldn't have lasted 4 days at all. I can sort of see how the 4th rev could last 4 days just not the first.

I think it's pretty sad that you need a spread sheet to figure out how a sale works, and even that doesn't work.  I bought a new item every day except Sept 5 and 6, I lost 1 rev 1 day, 2 the next day, 1 the next day and yesterday bought an item which put me back to 4, and today I am back at 3...where is the rhyme and reason in this sale?  no matter how you add it up it doesn't make sense...

Based on the new 6 Day Life Cycle for a Rev-Up, 3 at the start of 9/8 does appear correct for you.  It's best to move forward and forget the Rev-Up meter's behavior under the 4 Day Life Cycle.

Thanks for the visual Lindsey :) I think you are right I am just gonna go with what it says on the sale page, it takes way to much time and effort to try to figure it out so if there is something I want now I will get it or wishlist for another sale.  If we all sit here and wonder if the sale is working as advertised we will all go crazy trying to figure how it works...lol

    Had two revs this morning.

Bought the sunglasses. Still had two revs.

Waited the 5 minutes. Still had two revs.

Checked a few hours later. Still have 2 revs.

    Color me unimpressed.

how long are the pa stores staying sale?  any chance 3du or mada be on Friday?

I was going to give up on the sale because my REV points seem to decrease every evening. So I'll have 3 points in the morning and two points in the afternoon. I was at two yesterday but bought some items anyway. My points went up to three until this evening when they went back to two. I'm tired of this. There a lot of items that will now just have to stay in my wish list until the next Genesis 2 or PA Flash sale.

  • My latest gripe is I can't even tell which items in my Wishlist ARE on sale.  The only ones they're marking are DAZ Originals with my PC+ 30% off.  I was about to check out when I decided to just quickly glance at the vendors on sale and found items on my wishlist.  This is total pain!!  They don't mark the wish list items with the vendors either so there's virtually no way to cross-reference except to go thru every single vendor's store.

I'm not absolutely sure, but it seems to be for as long as that vendor's current sale item shows up on the "Still Featured" section of the sale page.

It's easier to just ignore the Rev Counter and the effects that any purchase may or may not have on it. Choose what you want, put it in your cart, if the price is OK then checkout. Otherwise, move it to the wishlist and wait for it to be in a flash sale.

Indeed the new deal may actually be worse, but it is not relevant now, as that is what it is going forward.

I read what it said and it was obvious to me that a rev expired after four days, so to keep at four I had to buy one each day; there is now a six day and not four. Are you being deliberately obtuse? It is better not worse.

The start of the promotion said that you got a rev if you bought something and lost a rev if you did not, I don't recall anything said about a rev expiring after 4 days. Despite what is being said, the new rules are actual worse than the old (except that the old rules did actually have a 4 day expiry, but we were not told about it)

I'm also a little confused about the 4 day vs 1 day rev thing.

They say you get a rev for every day you purchase and lose one for every day you do not.

So when it started I had 0 revs. I added the free item and my revs shot up to one. The next day I didn't buy anything, so I lost a rev and it dropped down to 0 again. It definitely didn't last for 4 days.

So I imagine that by 4 days, they meant that if you buy items 4 days in a row, then the first item will still be counting towards your revs by the end of that time frame, and so in essence it will have lasted 4 days.

So does that mean that if I buy an item now, that single rev will last for 6 days, or like the 4 day thing, will it only last so long as you keep buying every day?

i think things are in process of changing right now I would give it an hour.
