License question
in The Commons
Hi there,
I would like to know if the license of 3d items in the daz3d shop (like for example when I buy a 3d model pro bundle) is a "one purchase = one use - license" or is it more like a "tools-license", so I can use it in different (2D) projects? Please help, for I just can't find the answer.
Thankyou!

It is all laid out in the EULA
Basically once you purchase an item ( rather I should say purchase the license to use an item) it is there for your use, to make whatever renders you like (2D renders) and use them for whatever purpose you need. You can sell renders, etc. The item will always be in your product library, if you need to redownload it. The only thing you are not allowed to do is re-distribute the actual product in any form or even a derivative of it.
It's a tool license - with the exception of some of the Game Developer Licenses, which cover only a limited number of titles, you can continue to use the item as long as you adhere to the terms of the license.
Thankyou Chohole and Richard Haseltine! That's really great news - I couldn't find it in the EULA, that once bought I can use the purchased items in different projects, so I had to ask.
