Oh great, now while I'm waiting for the last of the products to come back online for the downloader I'm going to have to track down who leaked our internal marketing plans.
Ha!
It also seems they are visiting random threads ...
It's a two pronged Cory marketing blitz!

HA HA HA I almost pee'd my pants
Maybe G4F LoL
So, tomorrow's the big day? :) I'm excited to see what this "festival" looks like. :) Although I lost most of my budget in the last couple days.
That was the initial attack plan on the global DAZoholic economy ;-)
Genesis 3 Male/V7 is my guess, as well.
Umm...only that long?
I suppose some of the early years the sales were pretty straight foreward...but convoluted IS a mild way of describing things, lately.
CyberSox13.... comment of the day!!!!....very funny and you nailed it
Greetings,
So...yeah. September (PA Festival) and October are rough. Here's the thing...they typically release new items, and a bunch of them, every day. And at really, really good prices. Normally (during the 'off season', that is not March, September or October) there's a few 'down' days each week, where they run a sale on older stuff, or something like that, but no new items. DAZ pushes the PA sales hard, so a LOT of great artists put out some awesome stuff, because they have a really big audience during that time.
New items. Every. Single. Day. That keeps me coming back, looking, drooling, clicking that heart to add to my wishlist, and really, really wanting to click the add-to-cart button.
And I do. WAY more often than I should.
For example, right now, I'm okay on Store Credit (stocked up at 16.3% off!) if I only spend $7.30 a day. There's no way I'm going to keep to that. No. Freaking. Way.
There's also a day (or two, depending) where they mark everything at 50% off. {Gary Oldman scream} Every-thing!*
So artists who aren't even active in the store anymore like Ness Period Reproductions or Francois get discounted, and you can pick up their items, usually for around 50% off, which (unlike more active folks) pretty much only happens twice a year for 75% of the artists in the store.
That's one of the draws for me, usually. The artists whose stuff I want, but never show up in the normal course of discounting. The new stuff every day is deeply addicting also, and I'll buy it..and a lot of it...but those few days where everything is on sale is often the real wallet-killer.

* - Except new releases, that is items less than 60 days old, but that weren't part of the PA sale. Because those are usually included. So there's a dead-zone from 30 to 60 days, where items like the Chinatown set by Stonemason sits, which won't be discounted during the PA sale at all. Because anguish and tears are what really makes DAZ's business run. Little dripping customer tears. Everywhere.
Ah, yes; but if we are really lucky there will be a short period (before store personnel wake up) when the store software so much doesn't understand it that there will be a major glitch and we can get a bunch of stuff super cheap.

The PA Sale is focused on PA products, so they generally don't have DAZ Originals on sale (although ISTR they did last year on the weekends). I would expect it to include discounts on new releases and back catalogs.
I'll admit that I'm rather bemused by the fact that we got a brand new fairly major Stonemason release just last week when it's fairly traditional that a lot of people tend to hold back on their PA sale spending because they're waiting for "Stonemason day".
Admittedly, if his catalog goes on sale in the next week or so the new one will still be on intro sale, but the deep discount when it first came out is already over, and by the end of the month I'm not suyre but what it won't be too new to show up at a sale price at all.

I Seem To Remember?
Well, don't forget that if you buy it now and it goes on sale at a lower price wihin the next 30 days, then you can ask for a refund of the price difference.
10% discount on gift cards if you want to stock up before the sale.
Greetings,
I Seem To Recall.
So... $37.79 is a _really_ good price for a pro bundle. You can get better, but it's VERY rare.
Yes; typically with 50% off the back-catalog, +/- 10%, maybe with some 'bonus percentage' depending on the rules of the game.
Then get it; if it goes on sale this next month cheaper, then ask for a price difference refund.

Personally, I'm going to throwing a lot of the new shiny into the wishlist until cash flows again... I'm always broke in Sept. D@mn kids need stuff for school. Don't understand MY 3D needs!
