What's with all the weird user names?

I've been seeing a lot of users in the forums with names like "username_8d43ch30987-20c59900xx".  Almost looks like they got the number appended to their chosen user name automatically.  What's up with that?  :)

Yes, I've noticed this also.  I thought perhaps it might have to do with some new obscure craze that has grabbed the youth.  Is there, by any chance, a rap crooner fellow who goes by the moniker 'Snooze_da4dad06ce', or some such?

Yep...it's a case of if you don't provide a unique name...WE WILL provide one for you.  It's the new forum software enforcing name uniqueness.
