Problems with EcVh0 Iray Skin Shader for G2F

Is anyone else getting callouts when using the Iris and Nails shader presets on this product?

I looked at the .duf files in Notepad++ and they're full of references to a character named 'V6Anna' and it's asking for a bunch of textures for limbs and makeup. I did a search in all my DS files and nowhere do I have a character named Anna. My default V6 texture prefix all start with 'RyBelle'.
Am going to submit a report. QA should have caught this. Anna might be a character on the vendor's own system he used in promos or something since there isn't any Anna in the Daz store either.

No problems here, and I have no Anna character either. But I purchased it just yesterday, so maybe it has been updated. The .duf looks like it's compressed when I open it in Notepad++, if yours is in clear text it probably has been updated.
But I wonder why they haven't included a preset that loads all the shaders at once.
V6 Anna and V6 Belle are IRAY shaders for genesis two females; they are under IG Iray Essentials within the Genesis 2 Female folder; I thought they were free, although I can't remember how I got them. Seem to rememver they appeared about the same time that Daz 4.8 did, but maybe I'm wrong; they work great with any Genesis two, just hold down Ctrl to retain existing textures. There is also a V6 and a V6 HD within the same folder.
Ha, nope, I bought them. :)

I can see I also have the V6 Anna and V6 Belle shaders, don't know where they come from either. I haven't purchased the product you link to.
Even without the textures you can still apply the *shaders*, which define the Iray settings for any texture set.
The settings may be refined to look best with these textures, but they often look okay with others, as long the tones are more or less the same. I don't have V6, and I did buy the IG Iray Essentials package, but only for the shaders for G2F and other characters that I do have. I apply the shaders without the textures. Looks pretty good on many of the skins I do have, though tweaking is usually required, as it most always is.
It's odd the EcVh0 product requires these V6 textures, as it doesn't mention the dependency on the product page.
The files are compressed. I used Winzip to decompress them so I could see them in a text editor. I HATE when vendors use coded files to keep customers from seeing what's there.
So I don't own Belle, I have no Anna character, and I have never purchased the IG iray essentials pack referred to above. So it seems to me that the vendor shouldn't include specific texture sets that are going to cause callouts for ppl who probably don't own all the products. All that's required is Genesis 2 Female. If it would have said also requires IG Iray Essentials package, then I wouldn't have bought it.
I sent a help request but all they did was reply with a link to go to another help desk. What's the deal with that? I ask for help and they send me a link to another help? NOT helpful.
Anna is part of the V6 HD add-on

Belle is part of V6

Edit: To add, I did not buy the product, but would also guess that you can apply this to any character by holding down ctrl / cmd, no matter what original textures are referenced.
In this case, I don't think the compression is to keep people from seeing what's inside the file, be cause as you've found it's a common compression, and there are editors that read compressed text files directly. Saving .duf's compressed is the default, and it makes the file some 10X to 20X smaller.
Anyway, clearely either the product itself or the product page is in error. The fact that you were handed to another tech support person is pretty common. I'd assume this is a Teir 2" support person, who is more senior and able to make greater decisions regarding a resolution. I think you're reading too much into these things.
If you don't hear back in a timely manner, you can always send a support ticket asking for a refund, if the product doesn't mean your expectation. As others have said, you can skip the texture apply by holding down the Ctrl key, but I realize that's beside the point. The texture dependencies shouldn't have been included in the first place, as is the case with Iray Optimized Genesis 2 Female MAT.duf
You don't need the IG Iray Essentials pack, I don't have it either and the EcVh0 shaders works fine without it.
