is Animate 2 still the main animation program for Daz?

I was wanting to animate some things in Daz studio 4.8 ...is Animate 2 still the main program for doing this with? also can you animate any figure with Animate 2? I ask this because I am eager to still use the older V4 and M4 figures. Would it allow this? thx.

yes Animate 2 is still used and works with V4 and M4. most aniblocks are actually for that generation. there are some newer ones too, but lots of generation 4 around.
Animate blocks are made for specific characters. Most of the blocks that come bundled with the Animate 2 product are for V4. They work to some degress with G1 and G2 characters, but you will probably have to fix up the posing.
Most of the recently released animate blocks for sale in the store are for G2 or G1 characters, although there are still many available for V4. Those aniblock products should indicate what character they were designed for.
