DAZ to UE5-Metahumans ReTargeting?

Did anyone already retarget a DAZ Genesis 8 & 9 Skeletal Mesh to the UE5-Metahumans?

  • If so, can you please share any Tutorials?
  • Or is the Retargeted Asset ready to use within UE5?
  • Or can I buy anywhere the UE5 IK-Retarget assets from DAZ to METAHUMAN?

  • This is the easiest and mostly correct tutorial about how to use UE5 IK retargeter:

    The improved UE5.1 retargeter is very versatile to retarget almost any custom skeleton including G8 skeleton.
    UE5 includes the UE4 to UE5 mannequin retargeter, Metahumans or other custom skeleton retargeters not included but easy to create by yourself.

    Creating IK rig for each source and target skeletal mesh is needed, however not every skeletal mesh uses its own animations, they can share animations based on shared skeleton. If you have many Daz characters it just needs to create the retargeter for the template character, unless you morph them too much to not like human anymore.
