difference between studio 4.6 and 4.8

there is a difference between 4.6 and 4.8 if I select my cr2 figure Dixie (V4.2 based figure). In studio 4.6 I select the whole figure for example and haven`t to wait until she is selected and I can do something. In studio 4.8 I select the same figure and have to wait 5-10 seconds until I can do something. Why? Is there something in some of the tabs that I have to deselect or select so that the selection of a cr2 character is faster?

strange, just saved the scene and after that the selection of the cr2 character is without any waiting time ... hmm ... no clue
