Error auto-close (No save) Why?

Why does Daz close anytime it runs into an error? I mean why not ignore the error long enough to at least save the scene? Or have that option within the error menu. I can't count how many times I have ran into the tinyest error to lose 3-5 hours of work because you can't do ANYTHING but accept your losses. I mean it seems like a very stupid way to have the program set up. It would make sense if it was a critical error, but not every error is critical. In fact critical errors are almost non existant. But an error in changing a diffuse color is no where near critical enough to destroy the entire scene indefinitely. Little errors should just promt you to save and reload the scene. Not crash the program. It's unnessary. It's like taking your car to the junk because you got a flat tire. Really, I don't care if it does currupt the scene, its worth a shot... Save as a diffferent file and and try to reload the scene. The worst that can happen is it won't work, and you have to go back to the old save... But at least you were given an opertunity to not lose hours of work. We all get on a roll and forget to save. We all do it. So why does Daz not reccognize this perfectly normal human trait and try to compensate for it "just in case"

Or do like skyrim where you can have an autosave every (x) minutes. That is a plugin/script I been trying to find but no luck.

Minimal changes can cause quite tremendous errors in the actual program beyond recovery. If DAZ Studio closes down without asking, then chances are it got caught up e.g. in a corruption of the memory it uses in some form. As the memory is also used to keep the program itself, this basically could mean that the program itself does not function anymore as you know it - like at all. These things can be triggered due to at times really miniscule things by intracting with a program or even on their own over time.

That having been said, an auto save or a reminder to save might be worth implementing. Open a feature request with a support ticket (towards technical support).

If you have frequent crashes then there might be something else going on on your system, like some incompatibilities or something. Then I would proabably also open a tech support ticket about this, if you can reproduce or narrow down this behaviour.
