Video tutorials - not a fan

After spending more money than I'll admit to, and glomming a great number of tutorials off youtube - I've come to the conclusion that I just don't like them. They're hard to search through, difficult to track which video covers what aspects of the software, and virtually non-indexable.

Has anyone tried running tutorials through Dragon Naturally Speaking to get something that resembles a text file and then adding screen captures to make a text tutorial? Seriously considering trying this myself.

Doesn't youtube have a text option?  Admittedly I recall some of the 'translations' being hilarious, but it might nevertheless be good enough as a starting point to then correct.

Beats me; I'll have to go look. Won't help on the purchased tutorials, but worth trying. I'm not especially impressed with the comments on Dragon over at Amazon; somewhere around a 35% suckage rating. If I go the Dragon route I'll bring in a new box for it so I can wipe/reload as much as needed. Once I get things running, it would replace an existing system.
