Will Iray reflect changes made during a pause in rendering?

OK, here's the sitch...I started rendering a scene, I found that the red lights I had in the scene were WAY too strong, so I canceled the render (leaving the window open) and I changed the lights, then hit resume. The Render continued on, but no changes happened.
I thought I'd read that Iray would reflect changes like this as it goes along, or is that just a Lux thing?
(It's also likely that the changes I made weren't severe enough to show a detectable change)

Not in general, no - some changes to Render Settings yes, but not chnages to scene contents.
It is supposed to reflect changes to the tone mapping, but I have found that changing tone mapping during a pause makes it re-start the render. Other people have said earlier versions of the Beta didn't do this, it seems to be a recently intoduced bug.
It is, as I understand it, a change nVidia made. Some changes should still work, though I'm not sure which.
...what I've seen it do is restart the progress monitor, though the render itself commences from the point it was stopped. The same occurrs in Luxrender if you pause, to make an adjustment (at least when using Reality). When you resume, it will restart the timer from 00:00 again.
But with LuxRender, if you pause, change something like lights, and resume..that'll be reflected, right?
