I am trying to learn to use d-formers but all the info I come across is like 3 years old now. Is there a new tutorial with the latest Daz that shows you how to use them? thx.

Hey, Toobis. Actually, I don't believe that the D-formers, or their use, has changed much in three years. In other words, the older tutorials should be fine. Don't discount them simply because they aren't shiny new. Was there some particular problem that you were finding with the tutorials being out-of-date?
No I just thought it would be more confusing trying to go through the process when the video or screenshots are of a previous version with a different format with selections in different places etc.
Well, it is true DAZ has moved some things around in the interface lately with newer versions of Studio, but once you locate the D-formers the tutorials should provide you with the direction you need to actually use them. I would suggest just loading a figure and playing with them a bit, and I think you'll soon get the hang of how they work and what you can do. One key point is to adjust the position, size and shape of the D-former to affect only the part of the model you want changed. You can see this in the viewport as the tool highlights the areas (polygons) affected and the degree to which the area will be affected by using red and yellow.
Deformers have not changed enough to warrant a new tutorial. Trust me I just guided a few people on them in the last month. I haven't used deformers since Hoffa was alive and I was still able to use them without getting lost.
Well, I posted the screenshots for you of what I did a year ago that I never published. I am a bit foggy on the last step so anyone who can answer my question(s) I would appreciate it. Here you go: D Former Tutorial With Screenshots (It's 7:20am here and I stayed up to do this, so if I made any mistakes feel free to post and I will correct the narrative.)
Except for the addition of weight-mapping as an option, though even that isn't that new.
K thanks all and thanks Novica verymuch also for your tutorial.
You're welcome. Tramp Graphics answered the only question I had so far as how to save it. It had been awhile since I did a D Former.
