Hardware question. - solved

Hi everyone,
I have a "spare" computer which I wanted to use for rendering only. It's an I7 4770K with 16GB ram on a Gigabyte GA-Z87N - and I am considering putting a Titan X in it. However, I seem to remember someone recommending using the Cuda card exclusively as a GPU render device, and seeing that this PC limited in size (can't fit 2 graphics cards), would it be viable to use the built in Intel HD graphics for visual output?
The PC has a GTX 780 atm, which is pretty fast but severely gimped by the 3GB ram - and my budget really is stretched to the limit by getting a Titan X (new case + motherboard just isn't an option).

Why can't you go 'headless'?
Don't hook up a monitor and use remote access to get in to start a render.
you could use remote access, but if the processor or motherboard has graphics capability, then you could go that way. Just bear in mind that large scenes would tax onboard graphics; not likely to be an issue other than where you were trying to move cameras about or otherwise manipulate the pre-existing scene.
Yes. Go into the BIOS and you should be able to enable the graphics output from the Intel IGP while simultaneously using the Titan X. It will use an arbitrarily small amount of system memory, but it'll work.
Hmm.. never considered the "headless" option - will definitely go ahead and order the X, then try both :-)
Thanks!
