Got the Feel The Love promo email from Daz and the way it is worded you can get 30% off a membership, and I thought cool as my membership lapsed due to financial restraints.. Any way I put a membership in my cart added the promo code in and get the not valid message.. Then read that since I was previously a member this offer does not apply to me since it seems that the promo code will only work for those who are not PC+ members.. Just not sure why I recieved the email if the contents do not apply to me, ah well easy come easy go as they say, will have to wait a bit longer before I resub as at the moment it costs me $32 for a quarterly sub since I live in Australia..

Yep the offer is only for non PC members- so much for the advantages of being in the PC! I'm struggling since becoming a PC + member to see any advantages; too many perks have been removed, the PC items are mainly texture sets each week, things I would have picked up at 1.99 do not tempt me at 3.99, I stuggle to use my coupons each month because of the restrictions just doesn't seem worth it and now this offer which might have made me change my mind is only for non members.
Do I get this right: is the coupon only valid if i never was a PC+ member before? Beacuse I'm non-PC atm and it says the coupon is invalid. Or is it usual overnight glitch again?
It should, as I understand it, only take into consideration your current membership status.. let me look into this and see what's up.

You have misunderstood - the 30% PC discount is useful , although these days less so as fewer DO new releases get my interest, I have been a PC member for years now and its a bit of a habit, the 30% off membership might have tipped me into renewing my membership - it actually makes quite a difference to me.
You ask why can't you offer a discount just to non members? no reason at all why not - but you may want to consider what it says to PC members - those that have paid for membership at full price it says - no you are not priveleged there are no advntages in renweing your membership, we are interested in getting new members not in keeping old members, IMHO offering something to just non PC members is ignoring your members its saying we really don't care about you. If you have not paid you get it cheaper, if you have already paid tough we want more from you. What advantage is it to me to renew my membership - non I'll be better off waiting until my membership expires and you make another offer for membership. To me the message clearly being sent is we don't care if you leave or stay.
Not at all, and you know that. I just can't fathom that if you genuinely believe what you type why you would want to renew your membership in the first place. I'm not talking about just this thread, either.
So yes, in this instance, non-members get access to a discounted membership. But it's fair to say that members have had plenty more opportunties to do the same, and at even greater discounts than 30%. The PC anniversary is a good example.

I think you will find that that was one of those offers made only to certain people, and needed the punches to be obtained to the full.
There is small advantage to being in the PC but that is slowly disapearing as I said I have been a PC member for a long time.
And yes I believe what I type perhaps I'm not quite as eloquent as some and don't get my point across as succintly as others but that doesn't mean I'm not genuine - I'm not sure what you are insinuating with that comment especially about other threads; are you implying that I lie, or do you have a problem with me because I don't spend my time on my knees telling you how wonderful you and other general groovling.
My comment about 'other threads' refers to the many, many times you have voiced your displeasure with the PC, both here and in the MO forum. Since we're heading towards the TOS, I'll stop there.
To get back on track, I'm sure in future they'll be offers to both members and non-members on renewal discounts :)

Well, this thread has changed since I last saw it, so half my comments wouldn't make much sense. So I'll just say that my 3 month PC membership was beyond worth it. For the $24 upfront, I saved easily over $1500 in sales, stacking sales, PC specials, and freebies...
However, I don't plan on renewing at this time, not because it isn't worth it, but simply I've bought almost everything I want at the moment. Maybe in a couple more months, there will be a bunch more stuff, and I'll renew then.
I would buy it if it allowed it for PC+ members. Ah, the irony of discounts for non members. You'd think DAZ has turned into a cable company.
Thanks Jack, been a while since I was here last, mostly due to having to drastically cut back on spending after getting severe health issues and finally being declared disabled after 4 years of fighting the red tape... Been a rough ride, but it's nice to be able to be here.
