I keep my assets on an external drive.
I forgot to turn it back on before opening daz to a scene I'm working on, so got a putty block scene.
I figured I'd take a screen shot to show some friends who don't use the program, and I thought "Hey, let's render it"....and so I hit render...and then realized "Wait! I'm encoding a video! My processor is maxed...I should stop Daz" and I did...but it popped open the first iteration of the picture.
There were no colors, but the shapes were the real shapes. Instead of putty blocks, there was the actual figures (one of them..the other was completely missing).
That seemed all weird.

Damn I wanted to render the blocks
I know...it was weird!
I can render the blocks of course with openGL and bounding box view but I really want iray blocks!!!!!!!!
unbiased lighting and all
I don't do animation... What are putty blocks?
A general search didn't give any useful answers... Sounds like they are a low poly stand-in for a figure?
well, I was using it to refer to what happens when Daz loads a scene, but the geometry files are missing.
HERE'S A bigger screen shot of the scene I was talking about in the fist post.
I think Jager would like something more like block figures...like mini-mates.
I made an openGL video just for the heck of it
