I have had a couple people check and it seems to be working fine. Could you tell me a little more about this? Are you on a Mac?
I'm on a Windows PC. I've tried clicking it in Smart Content and Content Library but nothing happens. The log file says the script works, but no PDF pops up.
Richard, I installed through Install Manager. I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the Natural Eyes asset, as well, again using Install Manager.
My guess is it's not a fault of the asset and has something to do with the way I've got Daz installed. Anyway, I found the PDF without the script so it's not a big deal.

Make sure you don't also have a Connect install - if you have allowed Daz Studio to go online since pruchasing the product right-click on the product container (not the files) in DS and see whethe the menu offers Install or Uninstall - if it is the latter select that command.
*huff*...*wheeze*...*pulls the natural eyes thread out of the void*.
I'm having all kinds of issues with this and not sure what I'm doing wrong.
I've attached a 4k resolution extreme closeup that shows the issue. Ignoring the catchlight I use, you can see that only part of the eye (the inner part) will ever properly render, and the rest get this milky color on it and looks terrible, like it never actually renders properly. This makes it look really terrible both closeup and far away.
My guess is that you arent allowing it to render long enough. It looks pretty noisy to me. I can offer a few different bits of advice here :)
Use the poist denoiser inside Daz. Dont change any of the settings there, just use it as is. Let the render run until it looks "cooked" enough for you.
Change your render settings. Do you have a time set? If so, set the time limit to 0 seconds and it will shut off the time limit.
Do a spot render with the new render settings. Assemble the original render iand the spot inside a graphics program of your choice.
Also, I would set the iterations way higher. I have mine set to 15000.

Thank you for responding! I went ahead and did a longer render. I had denoiser on in my previous render so it was not that. I saw little to no difference after about iteration 2000. I pasted the result with the render settings I used for the Yeimi character scene from before. It's just a sea of fog around the eyes.

I'm lost, I've been staring at this for like... ten minutes, and I'm still none the wiser. When you say fog, what exactly is it you're seeing? If you don't mind me asking

On the iris. All the white milky fog stuff rather than the color detail.
Your render settings are whats causing this imo. You are not letting it fully render so everything looks cloudy/blurry/noisey instead of detailed.
Looking at that design in your render.. Im guessing it is "Style 7" "Blue 2"
I just did a quick render .. this isnt even a real render.. this is a screen shot from the viewport:
All of my settings are attached. Also, if you are rendering this at sub d 4.. do you have the iris morph dialed in?
Crap. I thought when you selected the color, it automatically set the style dial based on the color you selected (eg if you applied style 1 blue 1 it applied the style 1 slider as well). I always figured this was an idiot behind the keyboard issue, but that made a world of difference after I matched your settings and tested with style 7 blue 2. Upping SSS helped as well. I didn't even need 15,000 iterations to see it...it was already better after just the denoise finished.
Hey Chevy, is there a way to use custom iris textures or irisis from other characters with the plugin? I particularly wanted to add the limbal ring effect on other eye textures in Daz
It is all done via LIE.. so technically, you could load the material files like normal. Add the limbal ring effect etc.. and then atttempt to swap out the iris on every LIE.. but I would say that it may be pretty painful to do.
ouch I think you're right. I tried adding a stroke with blur but I couldnt get it as pretty as yours. I saw the limbal ring in the lie but I dont understand how to use it manually. Is there a better way to recreate it or way I can manually use your limbal ring as an overlay?
With a little fiddling around.. apply one of the daz eye materials to the eye.
On the surface tab: Select the base color and open up lie, add a new image layer. Right Click and add an image layer. Add in another iris from their texture folder. Right click and add an image mask. You will need to locate the "Iris Mask Blend.png" within the Chevybabe/Natural Eyes 9/ Supplemental folder. Repeat for the translucency layer.

Hi,
How do you save out the tear morphs?
Thanks!
You can "bake" them into your character morph :)
Dial in the tear morph on top of your custom morph.. reexport the custom morph with the tear dialed in and save it as your new custom morph.
I was pulling my hair out over this, Thank you so much!!
You are very welcome :)

This particular example is on MB Yeimi https://www.daz3d.com/mb-yeimi-hd-for-genesis-9-feminine but happens to any character. I did the following:
1) Applied the tear (this happens whether I applied the tear or not)
2) Applied the sclera (sclera natural in this example but happens with any))
3) Applied the irises. (happens with any)
The entire character, including hte eyes, are set to render at subd4. I've let it go to 2500 iterations and still get it.
Edit: It's even baked into the LIE.
What am I doing wrong?

2,500 or 25,000? For subd4 you need the max, which is 25,000.

Thank you! Do you have a workflow for conforming genesis 9 eyes to the correct shape to work with genesis 8 characters?
