Shaders and lights q

Hello!

I have a problem since transferring to DAZ 4.8 and that is that is I cannot operate on shaders if I don't have the very item selected in the scenery, which makes it a trouble when jumping back and forwards between items to adjust minor shader things here and there.

It takes quite the time and I end up missing parts and pieces all the time and have to go back and re-do.

Now is it a way to have it like in 4.7 and backwards - all the shaders of all the items in the selection at a time.

I wish if possible for the same with lights in the light tool box.

can't you select all the items you want to edit, then go into surfaces and manipulate the shaders?

Of course but with my way of working I keep jumping to and from all the time, so I seldom know which I want beforehand.

in that case use the surface editor tool. then you can select the surface in the viewport, it will then be highlighted in the surfaces pane.

I don't recall DS listing all items that existed in a scene in the surfaces pane(unless they were all selected). It shows you what is selected, and if you want to pick a figure that has clothes the items that are fitted to that figure will show as well.
