Rendering salable art

Looking for tips on rendering artwork for sale, specifically on Deviantart with their print on demand service.

sooo... Tips? Larger is better, but do I need to do anything special to documents to make them print well? Ideas on promotion? Render settings and tone mapping?

Try http://www.zazzle.com/ and http://fineartamerica.com/ These are places where people actually go to purchase art and products with art on them.

They all have their preferred format based on the products you are going to sell your art on. Wether on a canvas or skateboard, etc.

I have sold on Zazzle and haven't on Fine Art America or the other places I have tried. But it could just be my not so great art. You might have a much better chance on places like Fine Art America.

This is a numbers games. You really are not gong to see much money at all with one or two products. The more you have the more you will make. You should Google: how to make money with zazzle or how to make money sellig art online

You will get a lot of hits from people who are doing it and they explain what they do.

    there's also redbubble.com

They have guidelines in their FAQ on sizes etc. I've purchased from them before and it's very good quality.

The biggest tip is promoting - you have to get out there and ADVERTISE that your art is for sale. These sites have zillions of artists selling stuff and your stuff can get buried very quickly, unless you are actively out there promoing your art is there.
